Every time that final battle when you selected to redirect one artillery, you always selected both. So nearly half the time your artillery was re-aiming instead of shooting. Just have one shoot left and the other right, and let them be a bit more. Your frenetic micromanagement is impressive - but occasionally, as here, unproductive because it's more important to watch for the flanking moves when defending in a fort. You might consider brigading pairs of batteries in Group Single Line. This will separate them a little when you position, making it easier and faster to select just one of the two for aiming.
