@@kekag its perfect it sounds great and the valves get quieter than stock if i was to go through picking again i would pick the xforce downpipe and the xforce valved cat back its just a better price for similar sound.
Hi Lucas - love ur vids bro. Over time I honestly realized that I shouldn’t really put any money into the GTI and just keep it and take care of it and eventually sell in like 3 years, Bc the car is amazing in every way but honestly driving it now I don’t see any need for more power, especially with the whole like fwd setup. But it’s awesome to see all the info u give us! It’s a great car and honestly the most “reasonable” fast car to buy so that u don’t look like a speed demon but I’m not really a big fan of the styling of the car anymore. Still gonna love my car tho!
i get what you mean; kinda feeling that too and wish i didn't waste money on extra things and just did more research to figure out what i actually wanted
Lucas Huang I feel u in a way but not w cars and other stuff I’ve spent money on - it hurts lmao. My running light is out rn n I have to fix it which sucks but aside from that my car has been great and you’ve always given me good info about the cars and stuff so I appreciate that man , much love
Great video man. I own a Mk7 GTI and was planning to going to Stage 2 with Unitronic. You said in the video you went back and forth between stage 1, stage 2 and stock. How did you deal with changing fuels between the flash? Any issues with the car using 93 on stock map?
I want a tune but dont want to go with a tune dealer, what you’ll recommend? I have a gti mk7.5 2020 and already put a borla cat-back and the apr cold air intake, the apr turbo inlet and turbo muffler dlt, but bo downpipe, just the stock one. Should i go for the downpipe and go straight to stage2 on unictronics or apr? Idk much about this but even on stage1 its almost 300hp dosent ti?
Nice video. If you have stage 1 already and want to go stage 2, Do you pay the full price for the stage 2 or you pay the price diff between stage 1 and 2? They don't specify anything on their website. IE Performance offers the price diff from stage 1 and 2. Cheers
Does stage 2 Uni tune without pops and bangs still have very mild pops under certain conditions or is it literally zero burbles? Would love to hear a sound clip, hard to find tbh
Hey random question man. I saw in a past video you had rain guards on your windows. Any problem with them rubbing off your tint like I have heard many times? What brand are they?
CTS Catted DP just got to my place today. Uni Stage 2 no pops next. How surprised will i be going from stock to stage 2 power wise 1-10? Just wondering. Ive watched most of your vids!
I have the stage 2 unitronic and stage DSG unitronic with bolt ons. Car changed dramatically, absolutely love the car even more now. Debating going HPA IS38 plus and tune from HPA..Thoughts ????
Do you still run stock oil or have you switched to something heavier like what's recommended for a Golf R? And have you shortened your oil change interval? I have a 2019 GTI and I plan on tuning it when the warranty expires (just passed 32k miles) and I've been trying to find some straight answers about oil recommendations, but it seems like everyone on the internet is afraid to get sued and says, "you're an idiot if you run anything other than the manufacturer's recommended lubricant, wink, wink, nudge, nudge." but then they don't actually say what oil you should run with a stage 2 tune. I'm mystified and would love to hear your opinion (and I guarantee I won't sue you if I follow your advice and blow up my car.)
@@LucasHuang Thanks brother. I appreciate the timely response, which jives with my own thinking. It’s always nice to get an answer that fits your confirmation bias. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
not entirely sure what you mean but if we have the same idea then you do get natural pops and burps but it's most noticeable with catless dp + muffler delete
You never actually need the dsg tune, you can get in whenever you want and even at stock ECU. It’s recommended as you get a tune so there’s less wear on your clutches but it’s never required
Bud you look 40, eyes like apostrophes, and boomer transmission? Manual is the only way to go. Literally, the only way to go. Anything else is just lazy.
