@@PG-ts9xz The apparent difference between the two arises because Mr Gascoigne set the questions himself, whereas Mr Paxman was given them. Afraid that calling Mr Paxman an ignoramus reveals ignorance of Mr Paxman's documentaries/publications on various subjects.

I wish that Bamber had continued. He was an intellectual and a gentleman. Sadly from a time all but gone.

Yes, I recognized him right away. He’s quite a bit bigger these days and more sensible.

And the theme music is much better in this version!

Mr Paxman banter was entertaining, whereas Mr Gascoigne was merely pleasant. Can find no fault with the latter but preferred the former.
