I'm going further than anyone else here, and saying St. Johns for the final. Four people who all know a lot about, well, a hell of a lot. The only reason they didn't get a higher score was because St. Andrews weren't a half bad team themselves. Bloody good match!
Devine-Stoneman and McKewon were great, so fast on the buzzers. They will surely go far. St.Andrews was also good, they just had the misfortune of going up against this year's possible finalists.
Is anyone other than me going to be so crass as to comment that Devine-Stoneman has a perfectly beautiful face? Formidable team from St. John's. Would' not be surprised to see them win the whole thing. Thank you for the upload.
I still maintain that a having an American on your team is a gamble worth taking. Levin saved their ass a lot. And St. John's is a juggernaut, St. Andrews got unlucky to go against them. They would have gotten through if they were paired against someone else.
I might be self-biased, but I'd rather have an Italian. They study Latin for 5 years in high-school (sometimes coupled with Ancient Greek) which is a massive bonus for many terminology questions on zoology and botany. Plus in past years Dante would come up at least once every three episodes, if not more...
St Hugh's - Oxford is the only Oxbridge I would be happy with winning the contest, as I am rooting for another university to win. Thanks for the upload!
Sorry, 13 answers was my score for the episode (either starters or bonuses)! : ) Also, never would I dream to compare somebody with Trimble so early on in a series!
Lol @ "Hel-waz." The O and I are pronounced separately, as indicated by the tréma on the I. Do Britons not know the children's book Eloise, about the little girl who lives in the Plaza Hotel? I guess that's fair.
Top notch performance from St John's. If you want to read some awful synonyms for Devine-Stoneman check out my review and follow @TheUCReview on Twitter: theuniversitychallengereview.tumblr.com/post/166252541168/episode-12-st-andrews-vs-st-johns-cam
