🔓 Unlock Your Shoulders! Top 10 Stretches to Relieve Tightness & Pain:
Are you constantly feeling tension and discomfort in your shoulders? You're not alone! Whether it's from hours at the desk, intense workouts, or everyday stress, tight shoulders can wreak havoc on your daily life. Join us as we explore effective stretches to target the root causes of shoulder tightness and promote flexibility and mobility in this crucial area.
🤔 Why Are My Shoulders Tight?
Understanding why your shoulders feel tight is the first step toward finding relief. Factors like poor posture, repetitive movements, and muscle imbalances can all contribute to shoulder tightness. Additionally, stress and tension tend to accumulate in the shoulders, exacerbating the problem further. By identifying the underlying causes of tightness, you can tailor your stretching routine to address these specific issues and experience lasting relief.
🙆‍♂️ How Stretching Can Help Tight Shoulders:
Stretching is a powerful tool for releasing tension and restoring mobility in tight shoulders. By incorporating targeted stretches into your routine, you can elongate tight muscles, improve circulation, and alleviate discomfort. Stretching also helps improve flexibility, allowing for a greater range of motion in the shoulders and reducing the risk of injury. Whether you're looking to alleviate existing shoulder tightness or prevent future issues, regular stretching can make a significant difference in your overall comfort and well-being.

Did you try the stretches in this video? The "Sleeper" and "Traction" are my two favorite when my shoulder feels painful - which ones did you like? Also - I recommend you supplement your stretches with some rotator cuff strengthening; here are the exercises I recommend to do that at home: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1-ntOyFCA8.html Hope you feel better! 🙏🏼

As ever, excellent top tips and advice. After a mountain bike crash my right shoulder was pushed an inch or two lower than my left so these will help keep it as mobile as possible.

Really like the shoulder stuff. A lot of us "older people" have injuries, especially to the cuff. Are there any exercises that can help people like me that have full thickness tears with retraction of the cuff AND long bicep tendons? Both shoulders in my case.

I'm a 45 year old disabled man, been living a very active life in my wheelchair. After all that time my shoulders are killing me, I wake up at least 5x every night where my shoulders hurt. I'll def try this, as far as I can do them in my chair.

Is there an alternative or modification to the traction stretch for people like me who are too short to reach the top of the door and dont have pull-up bars?

So my left shoulder is super painful. It's clicking and popping. I have a bit of difficulty with some of these stretches, and laying on my left side is owieeee. Could this be impingement?

My hubby is super flexible also. PT told him before that can be worse if you don't have the strength to back it up.

Laxity usually = lack of stability from a lack of strength. Definitely recommend you look into some shoulder/rotator cuff strengthening exercises. Here are a few of my favorites: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1-ntOyFCA8.html Good luck!
