Salted caramel ice cream is one of my favorites! The cake looks delicious, too! It's hard to tell but it looked like it had a cream cheese based frosting which would add just a little zing to the overall flavor profile. I don't do much baking during the Summer months, but this seems like it would be a great Thanksgiving or Christmas dessert. I'll have to find a recipe between now and then. Salt is such a gift to humanity. We all use it (and overuse it) in everyday cooking), but it is really essential when making sweet dishes. A pinch of salt helps balance and enhance the sweetness in baking and even ice cream.

I am glad you guys are having your culinary horizons expanded, i live in the Detroit area and we are blessed to have everything from Italian, Yemeni, Pakistani, Lebanese, Mexican and the list goes on and on, just in the 30 square miles of the great city of Detroit. Mr Tahir has a tea addiction but he's funny about it. It would be.a good idea just make sure he has a cup tea placed in front of him everytime he eats as it's important to him.

Having watched this channel for a couple of years now I've watched the "regulars" go from a bit apprehensive to enthusiastic about trying new dishes. *They eat salt/chili/lime on fruit in Mexico, too. I lived in Arizona, USA for 32 years, which is 2 hours from Mexico. Same with lime ice pops...sprinkle chili salt on them.*

I'd like to recommend Nanaimo Bars! They're from Nanaimo Canada, a triple layer with chocolate, honey-sweetened graham crackers, crunchy nuts (I recommend pecans or almonds), rich butter and custard powder and coconut. They do take a while to make, because the layers have to set, but they're worth it! And I recommend doubling the custard/butter layer.

I love what you did with Chaudhary! Salted...Caramel...CAKE. He's going to LOVE this one! Hahaha...give him the whole cake! Yes Tahir; my mouth waters while I watch YOU eat. It's okay, I don't need the calories. LOL I remember the taste of foods as I watch. I love salty/sweet at the same time. Also sweet/hot! NO Tahir; diabetics cannot eat that, or their stomachs will complain. (I eat a only a tiny slice)
