I’ve noticed that the biggest liars are the elderly women. Looking at a piece of junk electronic equipment and she maintains it’s brand new.

The #1 & #2 lies from sellers at garage sales are "This is brand new" and "It works fine."

I go to a lot of yard sales. You don't know how many people have told me something is brand new, never used, yet I can find obvious clues of use. That lady would have been lucky to get $1 for that amp.

That woman acted like she had a gold mine and $50 was going to make or break her world. Someone told her it was brand new, at that garage sale. I bet she paid $50 bucks. Told her to look it up and she thought she had a $300 score. That is why she is in shock.

I appreciate how you share and own your mistakes, such as with the coins. SO many people will just double down and never admit they don't know something.

Why do people bring electronics into stores like Pete's and think they won't test it there and then. TEST your stuff before dragging it to a store and then trying to make the buyer feel empathy for your fake "oh noes!!". Well handled, Pete.

The lady that tried to sell her items knew exactly that they were damaged. Deception is evident considering she covered up the other item. Also, she changed her story after you (Peter) confronted her with the truth. You are too nice! I would have not bought it from her at all.

The lady with the meat grinder, I would have given her an Oscar, not the Oscar statue for her wonderful acting but some Oscar Meyer meat that she can take home with her along with her meat grinder.

When I worked for a small business we did double margins on most of our inventory I respect this dude for his offers and he's very charming.

Local pawn shop near me only tries to offer you 25% of the retail value of your item and they don't even bother looking at the overall condition of things. They've been losing money like crazy because of the way they treat people and there's no change in sight.

Pete another great video, but, there is always a but, the gentleman in the background who was cleaning a record with a back and forth motion with not so clean cloth could damage the record. A lite spay with a record cleaner, then wiping in a circular motion with a clean micro fiber cloth, then allowing a few minutes to air dry, will yield the best result.

Im a collectibles and vinyl dealer, basically do exactly what pete does without the store. I travel and work from home. Its funny to see how no matter where you are the same kind of people exist. Scammers, BS, crazies, you name it. I also love how so few people dont understand the concept of we are in this for the money not to buy your shit, sit on it and sell it for what i paid.

The key to grading coins is to always use a Halogen Light that way you can see if it has been cleaned and the small bag marks

15:49 the speaker wires were touching so the amp will shut off as audio signal goes up. This is possibly the reason that it was shutting off into protection mode. Love your content, keep it up!

The guy who sold the sword that had been in the family a long time is an example of WHY you should be very careful about family heirlooms. Do not give them to anyone who is sketchy and has no real interest in family history. Better to give to a distant cousin who appreciates history than some relative who has no interest in history or family heirlooms.

It cracks me up when people say something is brand new. It's only brand new if it's still sealed in it's original packaging. Also like it when people are trying to sell movies and they say that they're new or only watched once. Also that they made sure that all the discs are in the cases and in excellent condition. Then you start looking at the condition and then they're is fingerprints or scratches then they blame it on the children. I'll respond with oh I thought you checked all the discs? Your children must have started rifling through the bag and smeared their fingerprints on the movies so you won't be able to sell them.

It doesn't look brand new to me. She was mad cause someone said it was brand new and thought it was and it not. Can't expect to lot of money for it because someone said oh it older and from the 80s. It didn't even work? I would've pass on the both items the grinder was okay but it's not hunting season and maybe someone will shop for one I don't know. Yeah, I've would've passed on it.

I will never understand why someone would sell a family heirloom for $40. I get a lot of folks are struggling but the sentimental value is far more than monetary.
