You're not nuts. The custom saber video that I posted assumes you've already modded 1.24. If you haven't, then you need to watch this video and follow it first. Im also posting a downgrading video tomorrow, since 1.24.1 was released.

it's most likely that your pc and vr aren't on the same local network. if thats not it, make sure you're on the bmbf tools page in the headset and that your vr is not idle. it has to be open and active on the page the whole time

Great tutorial but when I follow the instructions on BMBF and get to step 3, i try to install modded beat saber but it says app not installed. What do i do? Other than that great tutorial, actually managed to get this far on your tutroiral than other peoples.

did you make sure Beat Saber was updated on 1.24 before proceeding with bmbf? also did you follow the developer mode steps and app sharing?

This was great, and now it seems many mods are available for 1.25.1 However, after doing it all, there's no option for custom walls, nor any mod that specifically mentions this (that I can find). Is it a function of Qosmetics and therefore not available yet? If so, I may downgrade to 1.24 as I really like walls with some filling. 🙂

So I looked today and chroma noodles and mapping extensions are all updated for 1.25.1 those are the mods you need for walls and cool mapping effects. If you check the description I have a link to my walls tutorial. You can chose to downgrade or go with 1.25.1 mods either way the video still gives you the info you need 😁

@@XoRoseGold Apologies if I'm being totally daft. But all mods upgraded and still no option to change walls to anything. Back in 1.17 I had that option to make them semi translucent wavy pattern. Are you able to change them in 1.25.1?

you can on 1.24.0 but not 1.25.1 yet. you need qosmetics for custom walls and it's not been updated for 1.25.1 yet keep up to date with current mods for each version by checking the questmodding.com site and clicking on released mods and choosing what version you want to check. sorry for late reply (:

Hey, I have modded my Beat Saber Game about one year ago and when I did it, there was a Custom-Song-Searching tool integrated INTO the game menu !!?! I later sold my Quest and now I got one again so I want to get the Custom Songs again for BS.. but why don't you talk about the integrated searching bar in your Video? Did they delete that by now?? It was so easy to find songs this way and also you didn't have to re-install BMBF every time you wanted to add a new song!! You could simply search for it in the game menu, download any song in just a view seconds and delete it any time also... is that not possible any longer??

They still have the in game download I just prefer to search my songs on the bsaber site so I can look at more details but you can definitely still search them in game and download them

Will downgrading lose player data such as scores on songs? Is the modded version compatible with online play?

yes because you have to uninstall beat saber and install an apk. you have to backup your player data and replace the files but I've been hearing people having trouble getting it to replace. if you want to try connec to sidequest > click the folder in top right that says "manage files on headset" > Android > data > com.beatgames.beatsaber > files > save the files on your pc then after you downgrade and mod go back to this location and click the (+) sign in the bottom right > click "upload file to this folder" and upload your player data, settings etc or do it manually on the pc by going into the quest files - this pc > quest 2 > internal shared storage > android > data > com.beatgames.beatsaber > files > then save / place the files in. hope this help

I downloaded chroma and noodle extensions for my Quest 2. Both of them work to a certain extent. When I play a song like Somewhere Out There and get to the water section, the textures of said water don't load in as well as the sky. I'm in need of some help. Mapping extensions also doesn't work 100%. For example, Infected by Starset when the words come up, they're just blobs instead of words.

first off what version of beat saber are you on? NE and ME are modded for version 1.24.0 so if you're on 1.24.1 that could be part of your problem

@@XoRoseGold I'm on version 1.24.0, I made sure of it. I used all the same links minus the one specific to my bmbf to download the mods to the headset. I think one of my issues was not having walls that are like the PC version of beatsaber. Downloading those brings another issue of them not being able to match the custom colors of the songs though. They just stick to their default colors in the menu despite saying custom colors in the description in the discord.

well if you only follow this video and didn't downgrade you might be on 1.24 I just posted a new video on how to downgrade cause beat saber had an update on August 30th. so do me a favor and launch beat saber and in the menu look at your feet. if you're on version 1.24.1 click the link in my description and follow the downgrade tutorial. if it says 1.24.0 then go into bmbf and under tools run the quick fix then sync. let me know how this works

I’ve done everything correctly but, when syncing bmbf to beat saber, it doesn’t download most of the mods. I modded before on 1.25 and it was working fine but then I downgraded to 1.24 and cant get mods to work properly. Is there a way to fix this?

I would just try to restart your headset then go into bmbf under tools and click check core mod updates. mine did this too and a restart fixed it

Its going to be one of three things typically... the address (ip/:port) was typed incorrectly, your PC and Quest 2 are not on the same local network or your quest fell asleep and is rejecting the connection. (make sure your quest is open on the bmbf tools page and not idle). and thank you! :)

you don't download anything for developer mode, you need to create a developer account and then enable it before you can download anything

If the accounts are created, are you having trouble enabling it? If your problem is with enabling it.. then make sure your headset is powered on and shows connected in the app.

triple check the entire IP addres:port and then make sure your PC and Quest 2 are connected to the same network. Make sure you didnt let the headset fall asleep by taking it off your head while you were trying to pull it up in the browser.

when you click on beat saber do you have the pop up for open app / restore / close? if not then something didn't finish with the bmbf steps and you'll need do the bmbf steps over again

you're probably on beat saber 1.24.1 unfortunately right after I posted this tutorial beat saber accidently pushed an update so this video was for beat saber version 1.24.0 and the mods are for version 1.24.0 this means you have to downgrade. instructions in my pinned comment. I'll be making a downgrade video soon. sidenote to know what version you're on launch beat saber and look at your feet in the menu

go into bmbf and under tools run the quick fix then sync. should fix it

@@BADOMENSARECOMIN hmmm connect to your pc and reinstall bmbf with sidequest. it won't un mod your game it'll just make sure bmbf is up to date. also what version of b eat saber are you on?
