A true horseman always does what’s best for the horse. Praying for safe travels for you all. And a good video idea would be on traveling with your horse, horse hotels, places to stop, places to avoid, etc.
Well, Dwayne, we hate to lose you here in Tennessee, but I agree that the move is probably best for y'all, overall. Good call on Tank and SJ and be safe on your trip.
With regards to Sweet Jane and Tank, we have a saying here in the U.K. which applies to people and animals. “You can’t force a square peg into a round hole”, I am sure they will be happier with their new owners. Dewayne and Momma, good luck with your move, I hope that it all goes smoothly for you.
Hi to you and Mama. I'm from Scotland, where I live. I came across you guys on YT by accident. I just love listening to you both. Long may you live and prosper. All the very best to you both, your family, and your business. David
Alright Dwayne and Momma making the big move finally ! You will love the high country of the West with little humidity, cool dry air. It can get hot in the daytime in summer but ya wont feel it like back east and the nights cool ya right down. No A/C necessary ! Great final video from DCW Tennessee and glad to hear Tank and Sweet Jane found their niche. Its important to them fer sure. Being just south in ole Colorado, hopefully God willing we might see ya up at the school later in the year. Keep us updated Drive Safe and remember : Slow 'n Steady wins the race.
You are so right. I finally sold my dream horse after having him 8yrs because he just wasn't happy doing what I wanted to. Toke me a few years to let him go. Although I miss him dearly, he is much happier. I love the new friend I made with his new owner. Now my horse now is much better fit. We are both happy doing the job. Just much better partnership.
Great video. You said somethings here that people that are new to horsemanship should really listen to. If a horse is not happy on what they are doing you cannot make them do it most of the time. This is were allot of people get in trouble with a horse. They think they can and most of the time it never works out. The horse has to enjoy on what they are doing and when you try to make a horse do something that it does not well they will let you know buck, kick etc. Great video Duane. Safe travels to Wyoming Duane and caravan.
I’m leaving Arkansas Monday and heading to Sheridan Wyoming myself. Will be doing ministry work at the cowboy church there. Hope to see y’all out there would love to catch up with u and mama and visit.
Duane, hoping you & 'mama' are taking care of yourselves through all you have had going on & the upcoming move, try to remember to get the rest you need & pace yourselves. Love you guys.
Wishing you all the best on your journey to Wyoming! I’m sure it’ll be a wonderful and exciting new adventure! Thank you for your excellent update, your compassion and knowledge is truly appreciated! 💞🌷🕊️👏👏👏
I hope you have a safe trip! I live in Minnesota, so I understand the snow part. We're sick of it up here, we're going to break our top 5 snowiest on record in the next few days.
Howdy neighbor! The snow is here in Montana headed your way. Travel safe! We got about a foot so far since Friday night here in south west Montana. 💪🇺🇸💯🦅
Keep up your good works I really enjoy listening to you guys Wyoming is gets pretty windy but it's a it's a great state was that the Occidental Hotel in Buffalo Wyoming I looked it up and it's about 20 miles from Sheridan anyway I'm Kim Colorado Springs Colorado. Looking forward to more videos.
After living in Cheyenne for 46 years I wanted to move to Sheridan but found Sheridan is very clickish. Small town if you are born there you’re okay. I found out I would never really be accepted because of that. I pray the best for your new adventure and enjoy your Utube videos.
Thanks for the tip on A DAVIS. Just watched him on hobbling. I liked his approach and subscribed . I had a beautiful sorrel quarter horse mare that wasn't very pleasant to be around but made beautiful babies, who were nice. One day we needed another horse to go on a group trail ride in the mountains and we found this was Scarlet's nitch . She absolutely loved it and was so happy and pleasant. A changed horse !
RU-vid recommend this channel to me and for good reason. Common sense, coupled with knowledge and humility is almost unheard of these days. Reminds me of my Dad. Dad was one tough SOB. But thank god he was my Dad and this fella reminds me of him. I’ll be a subscriber for life. From a Duane to a Dewayne, keep dispensing the sage advice. Safe travels!
I was pondering what and why my life was starting to feel good. And I traced it back to some better decisions I had made, which led me back to your advice. Thank you, Duane! Always quality videos
Happy trails amigo, ya'll be careful going up there. If ya'll need help setting up let me know, Wyatt and I will come up and lend a hand. We're due another adventure anyway.
You Don’t have to make any Long videos while you’re on the Road, Dewayne. Just stop and say hello when you can from wherever you’re at for a minute or three…!!! Have a safe trip.👍👌😎
We look to you as a great teacher and your thoughts are important , I think your smoking with this cigar may encourage some people to start smoking or stop thinking about quitting smoke just to imitate you , thanks for your magnificent lessons ! Saad, Baghdad, IRAQ
Thanks for the tip Duane, I have the upmost respect for Pat Puckett, David Archer.. I appreciate your input .. I'm interested in the school Oh, another great horseman is Isidro Espinoza
Duane, Burlington Kansas and if you need anything on your trip or a place to land here you have it my friend. Small horse farm and run a tire shop. God bless my friend
Sheridan Wyoming here, just read the Sheridan clickesh comments. 17000 people here, in the city limits. We don't live in the city with our horses, made we love it. Sheridan Wyoming horse people hang with horses people. City people hang with people. Rancher and horse people hang together. That is life anyway. This is a melting pot of like-minded people (Code). We moved here in 2016 for a reason. We wanted to be with like-minded people. We moved from Minn. With our horses.
Hello Dwayne. I can't seem to find any of your real old videos anywhere. Did they get deleted? There was a specific one i was looking for where you talked about how you used to work for an outfit and you gave advice like: don't mess with a man's tack. And how you left for a bit and some one rode your horse and had put it away dirty. So you were telling us how we shouldn't look at other people's horses and how we need to make the horse that we have in to the horse that we want.. I was hoping to watch some of the old original videos you had a few years back because I feel like this video goes slightly against the advice you gave a few years back. (Wich has swort of been my foundation in my horsemanship)
I'm absolutely ignorant when it comes to horses. Does rehoming horses effect the animal in any kind of way like, for instance, it does dogs? Thanks Dewayne.
I really questioned your sanity of moving into the southern/midwest humidity from a drier western state, summer in this part of the country are just flat brutal when that humidity goes up and the temperature goes up along with it..
