No lie this is the cleanest Dakota I've seen. I'm in the middle of building my 2000 "Scat pack" rendition of a durango. And this truck in the last 6 months has given me a huge amount of motivation to continue my build. Great job bro
Absolutely stunning my friend way nicer then my rt which is for the most part stock n def not filled with new viper n challenger parts lol I love love love this truck man
That's beautiful. I bought a 2000 dakota rt brand new, I sold it a few years later and I still regret it. I customized it similar to yours as far as look goes, I worked for a truck accessory company as an installer so got a good deal on everything. great job
Sweet truck! Swapping a 5.9 mild build out of my mud truck into a crew cab 4x4 Dakota. Wiring harness was a pain. Used to have a 4.7. Your engine bay is immaculate.
Thank you for the truck tour! I have a dakota myself, and I want to do the exact same thing with mine. If you dont mind me asking how much money in all have you put into your truck?
Amazing Dakota, congrats ! I’d like to change the steering wheels of my Dakota RT 2000. What model do you recommend ? Do I have to buy and adaptor or installation kit ? Thank you.
dude i love your r/t i have a 2000 4.7 and you just opened my mind to so many possibilities can't wait to see more vids i'm subscribing rn and would you be able to tell me the color of your paint job that red looks amazing!!!
Awesome Taylor :*: I would make My 98 Dakota sport 5.2L club cab just like this one but with air condition since it's a Florida truck. I replaced all the coolant hoses except the 1 that runs beneath the A/C compressor about 5 years ago
wow man you are doing an awesome job with this truck , love the dash alcantara and the cluster is fucking fabulous , all in all a clean AF ride and a very unique one of a kind truck , is there another update video available for when you are completely done everything? as you talked about doing more and finishing things in this video ?
Man you have done a beautiful job with your dakota. Would you be willing to give some dash information with gauges. I'm converting mine to a hemi now from supercharged 4.7
Sid May The dash is a Dakota digital (company name) . Dakota digital makes a ton of different gauge and dash packages. If you get the right year computer you can use a stock Dakota cluster though. There's a bunch of info available about it.
Hey Taylor. You have done an absolutely amazing job with your truck. I am starting the build on my late fathers 98 and i would love to see your work and maybe get some inspirations from you.Truthfully I am not well versed with these vehicles although I have built many cars in the past but your truck brings that sparkle back to me that this truck did with my dad. He loved this truck. If you can help me bring this truck to your level and vision I would be most grateful and I know he would too. This truck is one of twelve made for the Molson Indy Vancouver and my pop loved it for almost twenty years so I want it to do the heritage proud and my papa.I live in Abbotsford BC. If your interested in being a part of this blank canvas to amazing hit me up. How can I get in touch with you? Cheers Josh
My favorite style Dakota. Had a full custom 97 and I traded it for a full tube sharks drag car. I miss my dokaota sooooo much! If I could go back in time I would have kept it. I wish I could find it! It was custom painted pearl white with like a purple and yellow tribal pattern with a 318, Man I wish I could find it and buy it back
You could have bought a used viper for what you've got in that dakota. I have an r\t also that I've had for 19 yrs so I get it but damn it looks good. I'm impressed.
Gustavomtz1990 "Dakota Digital" is the actual the name of the company that made the gauges and they have full digital or a classic analog look versions but it's still digital for accuracy like this truck's gauges are.. as far as the wheels they're dodge viper wheels the front rims on vipers come already @ 9"-9.5" wide so usually people get 4 fronts so u can still rotate the wheels plus u can do the viper brake upgrade after u get the wheels on cuz u need big rims to fit the viper brakes.. I don't have the Dakota digital but the viper wheels and brake upgrade I do have on my dakota and I love it
What did you end up having to do to get the steering wheel to work? Did it bolt right up, or modification required if so what exactly did you have to do?
I know it’s been five years and i currently have a Dakota the last truck my grandpa ever got to help me with and imma restore it as in words as dump money into it and make it super nice looking but another note I was wondering where could I buy a truck bed cover like yours that pops open bc I don’t wanna get one that rolls up or folds i want a nice one like yours and I can’t seem to find one thanks in advance
I want the interior you have. What did it cost to do the steering wheel, center console and cluster? You said you had a shop do it or did you do it yourself?
to save money you can do it yourself cheap lowering blocks in the back and front cut springs every half coil you cut is 1 inch lower don't forget to get shorter shocks
Hi, Taylor i have 99 dodge dakota R/t v8 i want to rebuild like your truck how much money did you spend for that truck and i will save money and build like you.
somthing about this truck looks familiar............... HMMMM too long on the Dak forums i supppose. Oh and this ia a compliment. I still Have mine. Mine since 04 and still going.
Jimmy Gunshow ther is also companies out ther that make viper factory replicas so u don't have to spend as much just beware of replicas when shopping cuz ther can be companies that aren't focused on quality I used 4 viper front rims on mine so i could rotate them the fronts are 9"-9.5" wide pending what year, style and diameter u choose but same lug/bolt pattern so bolt right on I also did the viper brakes upgrade after wheels were on since the rims give the room needed for the bigger brakes
