I made a bot that lets you update your Twitch tags, title and stream category.
To use this bot for free, go to squares.tv/twitch
Commands:
!save mytags Saves the currently selected tags into a profile named mytags
!tags lists available profiles
!tags mytags Sets your stream tags to profile mytags
!load mytags Sets tags and title to profile mytags

Hello, it's me, Michael Forrest. I'm going to show you how you can use @squares_bot to manage your stream tags on Twitch. Uh, if you're used to switching between, say different games with different tags or your, you know, music like I do, I switched between music and programming. So I'll show you what that looks like jumping into the desktop.
The first thing you do is you go to 📍 squares.tv and you look for the profile manager. So here's a little icon profile manager. Click on that and it's going to take you to the Twitch tools page, and here is manage your tags with the @squares_bot. And this gives you some instructions on how to use it. And then there's a nice big button invite @squares_bot to my channel.
So I click on that. Um, you'll need an account to use quest TV, but you can just sign in with Twitter. Which I will do now, it's going to ask to authorize authorize. That's going to take us through, but then it's also going to need some extra commissions. So that, that takes you on to Square's TV in general, but now it needs some extra permissions for the bot.
So grant access to Twitch is going to ask for a bit more stuff so that it can update the channels, title, game, status stuff, authorize, and then you'll be connected. And you can simply just click invite the bot and check your chat. 📍 And there it is @squares_bot. The bot will give you some instructions on what you can do basically you can load and save profiles so we can see what profiles we've got by putting !tags.
Let's let's make this a bit bigger. Uh, tags will get the bot. So this is going to show me all my profiles I've got quite a few at this point. So I'll show you how you can save a profile. But first of all, set one up.
So here's a new profile. Let's say I'm playing some live music and I'm playing some live music. And I want to put that in the music category. So let's put that in and then let's pick some more tags that say singing. Musician, whatever. So here are my tags, electronic music, music, production, singing, musician, we've got a title and we've got categories. So we'll save that. Don't press escape. Don't click outside because you'll lose your progress! And that's kind of what this bot's about, but yeah.
Let me zoom in. So now if we go save bots demo, It's going to say, say tags is box, box, demo like that. And if we go now tags, you can see botsdemo is an option.
now let's say we did a different stream. Played some Isaac, and that was binding. Uh, so that was that. And then instead of those tags we'll just clear the tags and press done.
And then we can again save that just do save Isaac. Right. And then that saved those tags. And now to get back to, you know, we come the next day, we get back to us, we would just go load, botsdemo and there it is updated tags, electronic music, music, production, I'm playing some live music. There's all the tags as you would expect. Or if we want it to go back to load Isaac updated tags to UK and Binding of Isaac Repentance. I originally just made this do the tags, but then I was talking to someone and they said they want to do the title as well at the same time so load and save, do that. But if we did load bots demo again now that's, I'm playing some live music. We just wanted the tags. this is a different title and then if I change these, if I move these tags right. Save, and then if I went, just tap. Uh, bots demo right now, that's put the tags back, but the different title is still there. So that's basically the difference.
The instructions are back here, so save load. And then if you just use tags that will show you all the available ones and then tags, my tags will just load the tags, but you usually have to load my tags. So there we go. That is how you use that.
