Apologies for not saying it before...Thank you for your Service My Brother. Bumpers ordered so this video will come in handy when I have to wire all the extra lights. I'm thinking I should have wired my air bags straight to battery and saved upfitter for something else. It's the remote system from Airlift with 5000 air bag system and the manifold has a relay built in to it. I know I've been a little late to the party but this is the first new truck in 13 yrs for me since my 07 F150 which is going to my son. Could not pass this 19 deal during unfortunate national problem. But it was first time I came out ahead of dealership. So be patient with me if it seems I'm looking at an older video. You have one Bad ASS TRUCK.
J.R. Martinez well thank you and your welcome! Yea I only have 1 upfitter left, the air bags could deff go to the battery, and it would free an extra one up for you. That’s the way to keep a truck and that’s usually the only way you come out ahead! Next mod on the list for me is a camper shell. Hopefully In the next couple months I’ll have it.
For anyone that has a 2021, that fuse panel is now located on the passengers side of the engine compartment. Looks exactly the same as the one shown here. Good video brother!

I replaced that 5 amp fuse with a 3 blade 5 amp fuse (swap the 2 blade with the 3 blade from the cab fuse box so nothing backfeeds) So now all of my auxiliary switches operate with key off. Needed it like that for my strobe as I didn’t want to waste 5 or 6 with its larger wiring and amperage capability.

Great tip! Looking into a new F350 to replace my 20 year old 7.3 PSD. Upfitters for sure! Will stick with a 7.3 but gas this time. Just can’t afford the cost of the diesel this time around!

Thanks Colt. The video gave me an idea where to find the upfitter hub switch under the hood. I have 2020 F250XL (basic work truck model) and design appears to be different. Great tip on keeping switches 5 & 6 hot👍🏽🙂.

Hey brother On the 2020 the upfitter box is on passenger side. Everything hooks up exactly the same though. I don’t know the size and I’m 1 hour from the house. Just grab a yellow and a blue battery connector and one of them will work! Thanks for watching. Please like and sub! Happy 4th! 🇺🇸

I actually did all the changes I wanted with Forscan about 2 years ago when I bought the truck. I wasn’t doing RU-vid then and didn’t film it! I wish I would have. But I do need to adjust the TPMS sensors in the tires because I run about 50 PSI and I’m tired of the light being on all the time. So I can make a video about that! 🇺🇸

Well if it’s dark outside and I’m working on the back of my truck or unloading a trailer or something I can flip the lights on and see whatever I need to. I just had a electric retractable bedcover installed on my 2021 F250. It is operated with a remote. I was wondering if it is possible (and how would it be done).. to be able to operate open and close the bed cover w/ one of the switches. TYIA
Great video. I’m thinking of adding this with my door step lights like you did. Do you think it’s ok to wire them up to the door opening light and to the upfitter? That way they would light up when I open my door or when I flip the upfitter?
Man I’m not sure if that would work or not, but worth a try. You could always just run 2 sets of led strips on there. One for when the door opens and one tied to the upfitter. 🇺🇸
@@COLTSWAY It’s me again lol. Does your tuner plug into you OBD port under your steering column? I called 12volt solutions to ask them about their remote start interfering with my banks tuner and they said I “should” be ok. Have you had any issues with yours not working or interfering with your tuner?

i have 2017 ford f250 diesel and my upfitter cables under the fuse box are not giving any power when I flick the switch. all fuses are getting power and relays are getting power, i believe the issue is the switch wire to the relay. the aux switch light up nut i do not hear the relay clicking. PLEASE HELP
305element what relay are you wanting to hear click? I don’t hear anything click. What do you have hooked up to it to make sure it’s not working? Do you have a light bar or anything to hook up to one.
@@COLTSWAY yes i have 4 rock lights. they are not connected yet because i was checking voltage at cable with a multimeter cable 1 through 6. i am not getting any hot 12 volts except Brown/red
