That's my first iPhone ever. I really like it (I'm in love 😍 with it), but after I got it I realized the same thing you said-it's a phone for content creators. Anyway, I love it and I'm happy with it.
What did you mean by 8:48 - Flutter can't render on 120 Hz!? I'm also curious if you think for 99% of the use cases, can they be covered by Flutter and when do you NEED to use something like swift & kotlin? Thanks for the vid :)
From Flutter 3.0 120Hz refresh rate should be supported. There was a time when every company was thinking that they need an App. Sure they don't. Most of them will be good with web rendered nicely for mobile browsers. If you need a bit more, but app still is relatively simple, Flutter and similar will work just fine. If you need all the bells and whistles with new feature and hardware support, you may need native app to get it working.
Hey Aivars, look i need to ask you a question. I started learning uikit, and i only know the basics of it. I am really desperate to fully use Swiftui. But i am also a developer who likes to have a complete control over everything that happens, such as responding to Notifications, custmizing TextField with attributedString. Does swiftui, as of October 2023 version 5.0 have everyhting that i need? or are there still some features missing that will impede me from having a complete control ? My intention is to only support ios17 and above apps, so i dont need to support any older versions
There are still a cases when you need to fallback to the UIKit, but SwiftUI matures every year. So, you can find edge cases, like pin clustering in MapKit and what else not, but generally SwiftUI already can do almost anything. BTW, I'm using AtributedStrings in SwifUI views. I created 'struct AttributedText: UIViewRepresentable' and using it in SwiftUI views just fine. Sure that's falling back to UIKit
