thanks for uploading this, this is a great video. How can I block effectively without touching the net? This is the most difficult thing for me. When I try to be tight, then I worry about touching the net.

What is overreaching violation?

If the ball is still on your opponent's court, you're not allowed to touch it until after their 3rd contact. If any part of the ball is above the vertical plane of the net, either team is allowed to touch it. Overreaching often happens when the ball is passed close to, but not on top of the net. The setter is usually trying to set and the opposing blocker is trying to block or hit the ball prematurely.
