I've been using an ex pony shed to put my bikes/motorized bikes in, it just so happens that the roof and the walls had a gap in-between to let air in, I stuck a 10-12 foot 4x4 in the gap and put 2 bicycle hooks in, I just hang my motorized bike with bungee cords, and it's really nice because when you want it out of the way and you're tired of hitting your head on it, you just slide it all the way against the back wall.

I use a DeWalt Hard Hat light as a head light, it works pretty good.

1:54 Try spray-on white lithium grease. It will last longer than WD-40.

The suspension seat post is good, and helps for sure. After time they get problems, general play back and fourth. Gotta keep them greased as well. Got a Cane Creek thudbuster Lt... It is expensive, but it is like riding on a cloud with a spring seat. No joke If your budget allows sometime, I suggest picking one up.. or keep a eye out on eBay. They can be tuned with the elastic rubbers if your a heavier rider. 3 and 1/2 inches of travel. It is awesome for off road. Big difference man. Awesome vids Keep it up!!

Hey LA Hover, I started watching your videos months before I created my first motorized bicycle using the same kent bayside cruiser. I've had miscellaneous problems with it as expected, but fixed them somewhat easy. There are a few issues that have me fairly stumped that I don't know how to go about fixing. 1. When the engine is warm and I pull in the clutch, the engine races. I made sure it is not the throttle sticking. 2. My normal pedaling system sproket system (7 speeds) have broke and freewheel forwards and backwards. 3. The engine has a slight squeak every time the cylinder tries to fire, but stops when the clutch is pulled and is revved. (Sometimes you can hear it at open throttle while accelerating). I plan to take the engine apart and possible buy a new bicycle. Enjoy your custom motorized bicycle!

Problem three makes me think that the clutch is slipping? Maybe tighten the flower nut just a tad?

I had to remove BRS... He is spreading bad info. I'll have a video up soon (probably this week) about "run away motors"... Freewheels can be replaced, some are easy some are stuck... Without hearing the squeak I can only guess, but I know my motoos motor has some squeaky clutch pads.

Until then, clean the carb (be sure the jet is clean), don't run to much oil (32:1 or 40:1 seems to be a safe ratio), drop the needle clip a few times and see if that helps, and try to wrap some Teflon tape around the intake where the carb clamps down.

Just picked up a fat tire bike going to be my third build going to try to do it for the winter just had an idea you should do a video on gas mileage between different motors kit The two I have now one burns gas more than the other

I just built my first bike with a bayside and a fire storm zeda 80. So far I have loved it. In my opinion I think it is a good beginner frame and motor. The only problems I have had was with the stock chain, and petcock.

Cool man! I like building them so I know how to fix stuff. But if you opt to buy a pre-built just understand these bikes have limits. Take it easy on them and they can be a super fun way to get around :)

Hi LA Hover, Regarding your carb I find the middle notch on the needle is the most ideal spot however that also depends on your oil to fuel mix, and also altitude, humidity and temp which can affect tuning, these can be different here in the Philippines and in Louisiana. I use the Bofeng carb on all 3 of my 2 stroke builds (BT80, and the 2 Zeda 80s) all of them run great, except for my other zeda 80 which has a leak on the magneto screw, which kind of sucks

A bit of high temp exhaust gasket sealant/gasket maker probably wouldn't hurt. Keep a good exhaust gasket seal without having to over torque the exhaust bolts. Smear a thin coat on each side of the gasket before mounting the muffler.

Tip: Save your flat inner tubes. They are so useful. Seths bike hacks( now berm peak) has a good video of things that can be done with them but something you can do is rubber mount your fuel tank especially if you have a weird shape top tube like my bike does

I want a sx, cr, yz, kx, or a rm 65 crome after market racing expansion chamber so I could modify it to fit on my schwinn but, the price ..,so for now I have a bbr stage 4 banana pipe that I cut the end off & welded in 2” of the threaded end off the forks of a little kids bike. The inside has a taper sanded into to fit a peice of pipe that came from a lawn chair that runs under the bike to an abnormally large crome stock gas bike muffler that’s like 3” from going past the back tire to fit the profile of a moped looking exhaust. I drilled out the stinger on the end cap & welded in .60” x 4” with 1” sticking out the cap . The exhaust mounts are beautifully over done with 14mm acorn nut & studs Into a coupling nut welded under the crank shaft. The dimond back sorrento is done in the same way..

The Schwinn legacy is a really good bike frame at the time of purchase I think I paid like $250 for it but it's all steel 26 in beach cruiser I don't know how much they go for now but yeah man I'll steal frame all steel rims Sweet bike

Originally came with the fiber gasket. I know I have replaced it a time or two, but I can't remember if I ever put the O2 gasket on this motor.

Running lean / air leak around the carb, intake, or reed are likely causes of over revving. While the bike is running you can gently spray parts cleaner, gas, or starting fluid around the intake components. if the idle starts to drop, or the bike stalls, you found your leak. Just be sure you do not get over spray into your air box because it will fool you into thinking you found the leak... Also have a hose nearby in case you have a mishap.

Do you ever noticed fuel leaking out of the carb? Might be a float level issue, or a problem with the float needle not closing.

This bike has a thumb throttle so I can use any standard bike grips. If you get an after market twist throttle you can find motorcycle and dirt bike grips on Amazon.

Would you consider reviewing a Phatmoto bike? It is an assembled 4 stroke bike sold on gasbike.net with a custom frame with integrated motor mount, gas tank, and tensioner. I think they are very high quality and are the best of 4 stroke bikes.
