I understand where you guys are coming from but having swaybars on this one ain't bad. Makes it safer and more streetable. You gotta know she performs pretty well off rd tho, swaybars or not.
I put a new d44 on my wrangler years back. since I don't know jack squat about vehicles it cost me just under 6 grand. you guys who can do this stuff are the smart ones
I've explained to my Jeep friends, till I'm blue in the face, that their death wobble is caused by their brakes and not the damn control arms. My WJ had death wobble real bad after the brakes warmed up. I rebuilt the calipers, replaced the hoses and put on a pads/rotors kit. Wobble is now gone.
Wow, well my death wobble has been fixed at various points by: 1. tightening a loose trackbar 2. replacing the hub bearing units 3. replacing ball joints 4. replacing the control arms/control arm bushings.
@@christophermichaelson9050 I have replaced every wear item on my front axle including all brake parts. Didn’t have wobble for quite a while until the right caliper started dragging on occasion. Time to replace it again...
The v8 added 200lbs to the curb weight but only added 140hp. Plus it has a 5 speed auto trans. An 8 speed auto trans would have been better, but this episode was filmed before the 8 speed transmissions were a thing. Nowadays, you can buy a wrecked 2014-18 ram 1500 5.7 8 speed and swap everything into your jeep.

Only real issue I have with jeeps is they are and always have been grossly underpowered. Yes, a few engines had good to great torque, but not enough HP. The wranglers are one of the few that look silly stock.
Just once I’d like to see an engine upgrade like this and NOT make it a off-road wonder but make it a daily driver, something I could drive to work and Sunday drives without it sounding like I’m sitting on loud noisy tires and poor road manners.
Are the upside down shock absorbers to reduce unsprung mass on live axles? The weight saving, made even lighter by the absence of any stone guards to protect the shafts must be truly transformational. WOW. I want these like being shot in the head with one of TAOFLEDERMAUS' viewer test projectiles.

You can actually fit 35s with the factory suspension as long as you have flat fenders. Hell, there's a fender kit out there that allows you to run 37s on stock suspension.
