This video may be 10 years old but for me it's still the best upper body stretch video I've ever come across on RU-vid. I feel so much better after doing these streches!
I like how you keep saying to breath. As I'm just getting back into stretching and working out, its easy to hold your breath without realizing it. This is especially true for some of the different posses that put pressure on the lungs. Great video and thank you for taking the time to make it.
This morning I could barely lift my right arm without crying because it was so tensed up. My mattress has been giving me issues. These stretches really helped me! Thank you!
My wife and I go through this routine every Monday with retrowave music playing in the background. been in pain every day for 16 years+ and these are the first stretches I've found that have had any benefit. kind of amazing bc before this I thought stretching was total nonsense, it only seemed to exacerbate my pain

When I was looking for upper body stretches for someone who’s never worked out before I landed on this video. Very friendly and to the point and let me tell you just because I’m skinny did not at all mean that I was properly stretched; when I did this for the first time I was dying. But every time I start my upper body workout this is the video that I return too before I begin. Thanks for keeping it up after all these years!
Hey guys did it again today this really loosens those knots you feel and tension in your upper body, I felt sore a bit but I guess it means I actually worked the muscles, highly recommend to other whoahooooo!
Funny enough, I train MMA and I wanted to somehow develop my reach so I did all arm stretching exercises ( Improvising Techniques ). The first time I measured my self I had a 183 cm reach and I was 179.5 cm height so I was 3.5 cm in surplus. However, after a year of stretching exercises I was able to develop a 189 cm reach which is 9.5 surplus , which is amazing. My goal is to achieve a 15 cm surplus so I can have an immense advantage since I am very big for a featherweight. Will try to gain back muscles which will give me the additional reach, this is very possible and others should try if they are interested.
Daniel, I love both this and the lower body active stretches, but this one in particular makes me feel phenomenal. The release of tension and the rush of endorphins I get after almost each stretch literally makes me want to laugh/cry and I must look crazy but it makes me feel amazing Thank you so much for these great routines! 👏👏😃
I'm a serious violinist and so much tension builds up in the upper body, this was incredibly helpful. Today was my first time and it was very painful (I was trembling on most of them), but I feel like this was 10X better than the massages I pay for!! Thank you!

This is a great up body stretch workout. I had so much pain in my left shoulder but it feel so much better. I shall use this form of exercise to relive tension.

Amazing! I do yoga seven days a week and distance swimming 4X a week and this is the absolute best stretching I’ve ever done. It really targeted the areas I use a lot. Do you have a stretch series for the legs.? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Excellent!
Been stretching for years as I get a lot of pains and muscle stiffness. I usually stretch for at least half an hour, but I've never felt as good as I do after these stretches. I will be trying to encorporate these in to my daily life routines now. Thank you!!!

Did this after a strength session for arms and it felt like a little additional work for me (which is good, I'm a beginner so I'm not sure how heavy I should lift and often feel like it's not enough but wake up super sore in the morning), plus a really nice stretch. Surprisingly challenging but I got that post-stretch tingle and relax. Good good, added to my favorites!
Excellent approach to upper body stretching! Performed as displayed in this video you can actually engage the fascial tissue to obtain maximum benefit. It requires focus, concentration and timing which upon completion you will feel a dramatic new sense of opening and relaxation in the upper body.
This is, quite simply, one of the best videos out there for stretching upper body to relieve pain. Not only are the stretches themselves great, but the directions are extremely helpful! I was never wondering if I was doing it right. You really nailed it, Jim. :)
Did this day before yesterday and the pain in my shoulder joint was completely vanished. Never thought this would be so effective. The triceps were sore and definitely the best stretch for arms for RU-vid. Will do this again today. Thanks a ton.

It has everything you like in an active - day flexibility stretching : won't make you sweat and doesn't need a mat so you can literally do it anywhere, anytime. It was a fun change too, please do more active stretching videos!
It's crazy how those stretches worked my muscles! I was a gymnast and have always been very flexible. But these exercises are are so different- so good! I will continue these. And I'm going to have my husband and daughters do them too.
I lift weights, and I'm quite stiff, very few stretch routines work for me, this one actually worked. Hey Daniel, I could use the second part of the workout, the lower body active stretch. So, if you get the chance to make the video, you might make your fans really happy this Holiday Season:)

+Marina De Mori Daniel just makes you stretch a notch harder, jump a notch higher and do that one more burpee though there is just one second left on a timer ... I mean - who could say no to this voice! "Keep going" ... "push yourself harder" ...

Using this to lighten the tension and pain in my shoulders and neck, and it works - really love it, but then I catch myself looking down at the computer screen during those stretches and my neck feels like it could snap! I'm going to add this with some variety to my morning routine, probably with a light workout to wake me up properly. Thank you!
Good morning Daniel! I did this routine after my morning workout session! This is one of the best upper body stretch workouts! Its now one of my favorites! I loved this stretching workout! I rarely stretch and I just got into working out & my muscles & joints were getting really tight and man oh man this made me all loosened up again I just love it!

I really like your videos. Effective stretching with some yoga breathing tips! I injured my lower back few years ago and your exercises give me the last bit of motion that i needed to get my lower back relaxed again. One little suggestion if you could do those stretches without shirt so i can clearly see how you keep/roll/hold your spine specially lower back would be great. Big thumbs up though!! I can finally sleep at night without back pain.
