American people: Ban guns? US Congress: NO American people: Call for a ceasefire and end the genocide in Palestine? US Congress: NO American people: Ban TikTok? US Congress: YES... YES...
Well I believe it is not the "AMERICAN PEOPLE" called for the ban of TikTok, but the competitors, and people who want to take a benefit in this ban pushed for it. The small proportion that controls the politicians and tend to stand on the opposite of the people.
Technically , they did not ban tiktok. They banned the original creator and owner of Tictok. They want to keep the service , just kick the owner out, which we usually call ROBBERY.
They are banning it because Bezoz and Zuckerberg platforms are seeing declining numbers as in sales or visits to META Billionaire crybabies afraid of the popularity of TikTok. TikTok offers similar products at lower prices and free delivery. Same old same old...can't beat them ban them. Or rob them
@@tandan399 You don't see the big picture,it's not about money, money to those who really ban Tiktok is toiletpaper if softer,it's about power, about totalcontrol
I agree, no seat belt law and now anti drug laws and no anti-gun laws either. It should be your life choices and natural selection to decide your fate. And no protecting American citizens from foreign adversaries either, you should be strong enough to stand against the Chinese Communist Party as well. What a load of bullshit.
@@fatdoi003 Talking about freedom, there are no liquor laws in China. Alcohol can be bought in any convenience store, supermarket, restaurant, bar, hotel, or club, 7 days a week, and may be drunk anywhere you feel like drinking it.
It's up to Singapore to open its mouth and say something. Course, they won't because they've seen what happened to Japan, Hong Kong, and now trying to happen to China as these places became successful and were seen as a threat to the US!
Not much the Singaporean government can do anything about it except stay neutral and not choose side with the US, which unfortunately it is slightly leaning towards US.
You just can't reason with the crooked American politicians. They were going to ban it anyway, so the interrogation of tiktok's Singaporean CEO was just a show.
a huge point that many westerners don't seem to understand is that china didn't necessarily "ban" apps like google or instagram, but instead those companies refused to keep the chinese data stored in china, (which TikTok does keep it's American data in America) which is i would say pretty normal by common sense, so due to that it broke China's terms of service thus why those apps weren't allowed to operate. But due to this decision, China has unintentionally developed it's own internet system and society that doesn't have to rely on what America felt like that particular day.
Thanks, interesting points. My own (speculative) theory is that the US government can’t control Tik Tok the way they control the mainstream media, Facebook, Google, Instagram, etc. So they want to drive out Tik Tok. Tik Tok is too independent!
They worry about children so much, but their movies are full of drugs and violence, and they let songs like WAP sound on public platforms. Yeah right, TikTok is so terrible.
LOL no worries when India banned TT a couple of years back Indians found an alternate way to have TT access. There are so much Indian contents in TT. I am sure Americans will be smart enough to find an access into TT.
The West sanctions some internet sites and is punishable to access it as it's illegal, whereas China only blocks certain sites but it isn't illegal to access it via different methods.🤓
US government already does this. Just, this time, they can't find even half decent excuse to do so. This also proved tiktok is following the US law perfectly.
As long as India remains a vassal state of US, it will never advance in it's economy and becomes a super power like China. It has been a democratic country and also a WTO member long before China join in. If India has such a potential, it would have already been a second largest economy power long time ago but it didn't and probably will never be.
It means that the United States itself does not believe in its own Democracy and Human Rights, so it bans the use of TikTok in the United States. Like RU-vid, Tik Tok is just a "platform" that is easy to use. The users are people from the United States and all over the world. Doing good or bad things has nothing to do with TikTok.
