Du zeigst der Community in Deutschland was machbar ist, wenn man den Willen und Mut hat seinen Traum zu leben, sich Ziele zu setzen und dann auch durchzuziehen. Ganz besonders musst Du aber Deiner Frau danken, dass sie dich das machen lässt. Es bleibt immer ein Restrisiko, das wir bei allem Schönreden nicht vergessen dürfen. Wow. Danke für diese videoreihe auf cinamatic Niveau. Die Musik und ab und zu der Funk geben dem allen den letzten Schliff. Was ein Geiles Erlebnis. Ich bin im Mai in Florida und werde den PPL machen. Ich hoffe eines tages wie du von Deutschland in die USA oder umgekehrt fliegen zu können. Selber im eigenen Flugzeug.

I will fly to Oshkosh 2024, unfortunately not in my RV-7, I consider it to risky for someone building his first plane and with less than 200 hours under his belt. Maybe somewhere in the future I can do this. I rely admire what you've done with the 8.
Yeah - Oshkosh arrivals are busy. Best is with a second pilot for additional lookout. Also arriving early like Friday before the show takes out some stress as traffic is less. That is what I was told and can confirm.

Question for you as I am looking to ferry an RV-8 from USA to Europe. How did you file CYYR-BGBW without HF radio? I was told by Gander Flight Planning that without HF you were required to take the Blue Spruce route north CYFB - BGSF.
Different rules for different countries. For me with a German registered experimental I needed permits for Iceland, Canada and the US. It is usually given for a reasonable timeframe as requested.
That’s not bad! Flying within Europe requires no permission between EASA countries? Was my only gripe about going experimental. Within Europe is as far as I would be going
@@WVMbe There is no ATC clearance required to fly along the Hudson River, but the airspace is well regulated. I wonder the FAA is making this (and others) possible - unthinkable in my country!
I am from Utah, but I took my C172 to NY this past summer. It is actually pretty easy to get a Bravo clearance at 1,500 feet. The air is much smoother at that altitude, and you are guaranteed separation. But flying at 1,100 feet is a bit more spectacular. So I did both, like 4 times total.
Max. FF im cruise ist 8.5 GPH, teilweise sogar nur 6.5 GPH. Habe 57 Gal an Bord, also kein Problem. Wenn ich mit 10GPH fliege ist das ineffizient und nur ganz geringfügig schneller.
