The build-up, the actual race (starts at 2:11), and after reaction from Michael Johnson etc on this stunning stunning run!!! Plus short trackside talk with the three medallists.
The fact that Tyson Gay ran a 9.71, one of the fastest times ever ran and got cleared by 2 meters and .13 of a second is unreal! Just goes to show how insane bolt was!
when you think about it, he was 22, started at 12, probably things got on pro level of commintment at 16, so its like 5 years of investment... not this big of a deal, dude is just a freak of nature
Funny thing is that it's also incorrect. It's that lightning doesn't strike twice *in the same spot* due to probability and the unlikeliness of that happening.
"I am ready, are you?, Bolt said before the start of the race. This suggests how much preparation he had and how much confident he was. Lightning Bolt.
+Vividua Elsaphe , I am talking about bolt at his best, not about the bolt who will retire after Olympic. I am talking about those times when he was breaking all the records and was at the peak of his career.
I was at a Puma exhibition and they had lights in a row that would light up to represent the speed of Bolt. I cannot begin to tell you how unbelievably fast it is. My mind is still blown till this day
Yohan Blake will forever be under-appreciated. Any other era, he would probably be the fastest man alive & sweep competitions. Instead, he places second to his training partner over & over. Mad respect to Yohan.
Well technically, a human never really does everything to the 100% of their ability. To put it simply, our brains put these "limits" on our abilities that don't come off unless something urgent happens. That's why in life or death situations, a person can run faster from whatever is chasing them or a mother can probably even lift a car off their baby.
Michael Johnson truly understood what he had witnessed. That record will be a test for any sprinter now. They will need a chain of perfect conditions to beat it, or even come close. 9.58 will last through the ages as a testament of human capability.
Just such an obscenely fast run, I know never say never but given the times we've just seen at the 2021 Olympics it doesn't seem like anyone is coming even close to touching Bolt for a very, very long time.
@@abraham2174 They have PB’s before they even go though, I’m pretty sure Trayvon Bromell was declared the fastest in this years olympics cause he had a 9.77 PB coming in, which is still a whole .2 seconds off of Bolts
What’s phenomenal is his posture is so relaxed as if running is his home. His muscles don’t seem forced or stressed, his form is almost angelic. This was so inspirational to witness!
I think this was the best start Bolt ever had. He is typically behind the rest of the field until the halfway point, but in this race he stayed right up with them and quickly pulled away just 25 meters into the race.
its still the top 3 fastest starts EVER probably only behind su bingtin and christian coleman and bolt ran 9.58 whilst the rest have never even got 9.70
This is the best start Bolt has ever got in a competitive race and yet I am not satisfied with his finish man! By looking around and all ... 😂 Maybe 9.50 was on the clock otherwise.
Exactly, imagine he got the starts that some others get, he would be even faster, or if they put a lion behind him, the adrenaline would help him even more
@@roastingminer6919 source? I know one guy ran at 9.32 or something but their was a wind machine behind him so he would be faster at the start. If you know someone who ran faster then 9.58 off comp other then that. I would be happy if you let me know
Ain’t this the honest truth. I check in with this and his 200 every now and again and it remains utterly spine-tingling EVERY SINGLE time. It’s the way that in the mid-race, as he straightens after the start, he just accelerates away - effortlessly - almost logarithmically. It’s fucking mesmeric.
@@yonggeun4222 The more time passes, the more I am convinced he may have been the pinnacle of human capability. Not only his biology, but the runners around him at this time were absolutely machines as well, which pushed him to his utter limits. This series of perfect conditions to create a 9.58 run, may not happen again.
I saw him once in Olympic stadium here in Athens at 2007. I couldnt believe in my eyes how fast was he... 200m before i could say a sentence... I said to myself how did he get there on the other side of the stadium already?? I wish i had the chance to hug him... I liked him very much.
fucking unbelievable , he even looked to the side and didn't lean for the line. LOOK AT HIS FACE, HOW CALM IT IS. jesus christ he's just pulverizing the world record with seemingly NO effort. just wow.
At 2:23 Bolt begins to draw clear of the field. The clock is at 3.0s. He clearly has superior accelleration, the cadence is about even for all runners at this point. They have not reached terminal velocity. Bolt is 6'5", he has a lighter frame, a longer power stroke per stride, a better power-to-weight ratio, And he's very fast. Of course.
The craziest part about this 9.58 time is that he relaxed in the last 7-10 metres. Imagine what the time would have been if he would have attempted to maintain his top speed and ran through the finish. What an amazing talent this man is.
He doesn’t seem surprised, bolt probably has beaten the world record several times at his own track. It’s not you magically perform better on the day itself
Yeah, Noah Lyles just won the 100 and 200m at the world championship. But he'll never have the charisma that Bolt displayed. The guy was a one off. Remember the time the cameraman on the electric bike collided with him? Bolt just got up and got on with it. He even got his picture took with the guy. Legend.
Bolt is so good he set a record nobody in the next 40 years will be able to beat. And the new record will be 9.579s by a Bolt clone scientist will make to prove he's the best
"They say lightning doesn't strike twice ... Usain Bolt ... The world belongs to Bolt" - That sent chills down my spine. Perhaps the greatest commentary in sports history.
craig mitchell pillred once again stupid comment. Please dont underestimate human body capabilities... i am faar from my peak and i can even so near 9.60 theres no reason to not be able to unless i dont work for it
The fact that I'm here again to witness how great this man is. 9.58 a world record that will surely be unmatched in this generation and more to come. GREATNESS.
