Who's watching today August 21 2024? It's Usain's birthday today. Happy Birthday to the GOAT of Sprints and Athletics, and the Superstar of all sports ...
LOL, Sean. Not going to lie, that is my absolute favorite quote from him. Especially since it was so prophetic. Really wish Puma would have made that into a slogan and marketing campaign.
Can't say that cause I haven't seen him loose a race yet. True he's slowed down a lil but his slow time still beats the rest of the field. He still going to win the 100 and 200 without a doubt to solidify him as the best sprinter ever
+Anthony Argueta let me guess he recited bob marley lyrics my dreads is way pass my ass 16yrs growth and live in trinidad and spent time in other Caribbean countries,Selassie i jah rastafari peace and love my brother...lol...what u think?
The 100m sure but the 200m, you got Tebogo, Knighton and I guess Lyles too. More so Tebogo if he stays Healthy and is still young can really threaten his 200m WR very soon.
God...the amount of casual fans that show up in the comment sections, during Olympic years... Yes, he's running the 100m in Rio.This was a glorified training run to gauge his fitness level off of a hamstring strain.
He would've still gone to the Olympics. He didn't have to run here, they have until august 8th to prove fitness. All athletes need is IAAF certified officials to be present in a stadium and run to prove the injury is not a bother.
Im Champ Bolt didn't need to run here in London. He could've stayed at his training base and run to prove his fitness that's what I'm saying, and he could still wait till the 8th of august to prove fitness
Birdman Rich Gang I highly doubt that someone else is faster then him, mostly because this guy works out everyday of his life for speed and most normal people dont do that.
Birdman Rich Gang Yeah, ive heard about the guy who doesnt get tired. Heres the thing though, Usain is so fast that normal people cant reach 1/4th of his speed lol, thats why i doubt that theirs someone better then him.
He had a 2 meter lead thats winning with ease, and he ran sub 20 while obviously relaxing a bit on the gas at the end. But you seem very angry my friend.
Dami Ikwe I am a sprinter and I can clearly see that he was pushing hard the whole race and in the end lost most of that lead because he was trying too hard
Guys this is the Diamond League. It's usually a one day track meet. Athletes are hardly ever coming here to run 2 different races. Bolt hasn't ran a 200m for the year and he probably isn't racing again until Rio. That's why he only ran the 200m.
If ever we started preserving human DNA for future replication: start here. This man is next-level evolution. Physiologically, he has no peers. None - certainly none with 2 legs! And the GREAT Michael Johnson! *respect*
You could see Bolt not going full out the last 40 yards or so. Had he ran full speed to the end he could have had a sub 19.50 time. He's ready for Rio!
Nobody can compete with this guy. His stride is twice that of the other runners. Its not so much that he's fast its that he covers so much ground with one stride. He's like trying to run against a Giraffe.
I don't know if someone else thinks the same, but i found his 100m WR harder to beat than his 200m WR, i mean, there's only 3 athletes that have gone under the 9.7s time, that's absolutely insane to me.
UB WILL BE 30 IN AUG.MR.VIRGO.HE IS NOT EARLY 20 OR MID 20 WHEN HE WAS RUNNING INSANE TIMES AND LOOKED EFFORTLESS IN DOING IT. THE BODY IS NOT TOP PRIME AT 30 AS 25, BUT THAT IS WHY HE SAYS THIS IS HIS LAST OLYMPIC AND WILL RETIRE IN 2017 AFTER THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ONLY RUNNING THE 100M. HE KNOWS IT'S THE END, BUT WILL GO OUT LIKE A DEADLY LIGHTING BOLT!!! SO LETS ENJOY THIS LEGEND OF THIS TIME, I DON'T SEE ANYONE BETTER ANYTIME SOON, BUT SPRINTERS LIKE HIM WILL POP UP OUT OF NOWHERE JUST LIKE BOLT DID. THE AMERICAN PHARAOH OF TRACK AND FIELD SPRINTS. USAIN (INSANE) LIGHTNING BOLT... FIRST LIGHTNING, THEN THERE IS THUNDER. THAT'S HOW HE RUNS.
true I mean if u put ur self in his shoes u wouldn't really give it ur all cuz hey ur the fastest man in the world and no one has ever gotten close to ur record
true I mean if u put ur self in his shoes u wouldn't really give it ur all cuz hey ur the fastest man in the world and no one has ever gotten close to ur record
+_.nonso ._ only thing that bothers me is his nods at the end as if he is disappointed and truly did his best... I think he is just making everyone under estimate him or he is actually out lf shape
Samuel Vinnik from my experience it's normal for an athlete to doubt themselves during these little races but when it comes to the main event he who can succeed is the real athlete and that's who bolt is he doesn't crack under pressure like others do and from his back ground roots he know where he came from and the work he had to put in to get there. So don't he is bolt always the best
Yeah I realize that he is most likely going to surprise everyone but he got alot of competition this time around ... blake, gatlin, even bromell ... he better have some special mojo
coming off a slight injury, decent performance, he'll be ready for Rio. looked very tentative round the curve and his turnover was not what it usually is, so room to improve. btw if Alonso was to ever beat Bolt, this was the best opportunity he is ever going to get with Bolt coming straight off an injury.
I laughed at this because it's what everyone said of Gatlin last year. Every time someone thinks the opportunity is there, Bolt closes that door. That guy is both blessed and lucky.
***** I understand that! But I'm talking about disqualifying someone when he/she commits just A SINGLE false start. To, me, the athlete should be given a warning then, not a disqualification.
It's an effective deterrent. They're more likely to risk taking off before the signal if such a huge consequence wasn't lingering around in their minds. These races mean a lot to these athletes, so they are willing to take advantage of any loophole in sight. This clogs up the "gunshot prediction" loophole, consequently facilitating an interruption-less race.
Mark Johnson To, me, that rule just don't make sense. Even a soccer player may receive a warning (yellow card) before he/she is ejected, depending on the magnitude of foul/tackle he/she commits. And the soccer player may intentionally foul the other player in order to try to prevent a goal. But a sprinter will not INTENTIONALLY choose to kick out of his/her block before the gun sounds.
