Great video as always Paul!.....just getting comfortable with the crow to handstand....still need more work to master...this is a nice next step...I've tried to push out of headstand and go nowhere despite having a near body weight shoulder press...problem is most likely too much weight on my head in the headstand setup....not ideal to press up....will try it balanced more on forehead and getting my head FURTHER in front of the hands to form a taller triangle....and start with more weight in the hands...and you showed the back-to-wall version which is my 'go-to' position....cheers....

Great new info ! I started doing free standing slow HSPU negatives but approaching the concentric phase is such an unknown to me

I try it and i am happy because i have strenght to raise my head but laks balance 😅 I do a exercice caled float pike pu (learn it in a calisthenics family video) is very good to build time under tension in deep hspu position.

Any specific tips for overbalancing hspu? Ive got more than enough strength to do HSPU, and on a good (lucky) set i can rep out 3-4 consecutive freestanding hspu. The problem i have is consistency, I seem to always fall overbalancing on the concentric portion.
