Thanks for those tips! I love Oscar's tutorials. Another way to mono a signal in a signal chain is to put a Stereo Imager and set both bands to mono (hard left). It will do the same thing as what Oscar is doing in the video but it will be much more obvious when one comes back to the system months later (no need to flip the rack to understand why there's a splitter audio there).

Im using Reason since more than 15 years, im happy to see that most of the old school rack extension, still work as a vst 3, the pulverizer is like a distressor compresser, it's work on any drum track, im also using it as a fairlight module of da vinci resolve.

I'm pretty sure you can just hold shift while connecting the stereo signal to the next input and it will only connect the Left side. I'm not by my computer rn, and this is all muscle memory now 😋

Yo!!!!! Perfect combinator. Soon as I get home from my day after work and log into Reason12+ I'm downloading this combinator. I also purchased his techno rumbles course last year. I'm so F* happy he made this !!!!. I have so many ideas to add to the combinator and tweak it. It's the perfect rumbles combinator.

As much as I appreciate the effort involved in doing this, and the knowledge required for it, the issue with rumble for me is it mean I can't have a nice, unique bassline for my track because all the low end is taken up by the rumble. I'd like to muck around with this patch on some other sound signals just for experimentation though. Thanks for making it a free download!

A rumble IS the bassline. Have one or the other. You can of course, turn a rumble into a bassline, by pitching or changing filtering melodically

Yes you can you just move do a low cut on the bassline so it sits just above the kick drum.

For proper mono, create a line mixer in your Combinator, and send the right and left channel each to an individual left channel in the mixer. The output from the mixer will then output the stereo audio into mono without loss of any audio. Great, succinct tutorial, by the way!

These vids are very informative. I learned to make the rumble and other techniques on FL studio by watching these vids. The concepts or these fundamentals are still the same, just that the DAW have different layouts. You just need to know where to put/apply these concepts/fundamentals in your DAW. Enjoy! Thanx for this. Love it. I Have a question. I your other rumble video it was possible to turn up and down for the dry kick while the rumble was the same. Maybe you have shown it in this video and i have missed it. But is that also possible in this combinatorfont? I only discovered the option where you press "Rumble only".

Hm... I take one mixchannel with the kick. Make a paralell channel with the FX. EQ, Sidechain, etc on the SSL and then send them into a mixbus for global shaping and glue compression. Never thought one needs a combinator for this. 🤷‍♂

Hahahahah that's a bit manic. Maybe turn down your drum groove & leave space for a few other instruments. If your tracks comes out at -7LUFS overall you're still gonna be loud as heck.

@@ReasonStudios - Hi there. I tried the rumble cmb file using Reason 11. An error message says "Bad patch format. The selected fie is in the wrong format or corrupt." After some watching and rewatching the video, was able to recreate the combinator patch! It sounds freakin awesome too!

I know I might be asking too much, but can someone with a good heart create a combinator similar to Oscar's masterpiece but that works in previous versions of Reason?
