As a previous Splat Charger main this video was funny. I also have a few tips for using Chargers. 1) When aiming you will scare the inklings away with the Charged light, this causes you to shoot too early. Instead try to hide this light behind a wall. 2) It's way easier to suprise attack someone if you're on an above platform. Remember that real snipers has patience and that most players only look left, right and not above themselves. 3) If you can't snipe at the start of your Charger life, don't give up. But do invest more in your Sub and Special weapons. 2 mains of sub power up on the E-liter 4k ink mine would help a lot since you could then splat them with a half charged shot (if you had a direct hit). Avoid ink saver main, go for ink saver sub and ink recovery. 4) When shooting you should not just throw out shots hoping it hits. If you want to hit your shots you must take more time (or become the motion controls god). You can move the aim fast to your target, but to actually hit you must do a full stop in motion. Then guess where the inkling will go. And since you did a full stop in motion you know just about how much you need to tilt your controller in order to close the remaining gap in your aim. If you do the last motion slowly you get more frames to pull the trigger. 5) Practice aim in the training room. (press Y when equipping a weapon). I played the Splat Charger as a main for 3 months. Hopefully anything of what I've said will help someone out there. - KalarMar
Mmm. Also controller can make a huge difference. If your controller has a lot of waggle, you're not going to get any sick snipes but will have to hope your sub weapons and specials can pick off wounded squids (and octos). My relatively new pro controller is much more steady and I got 9 splats with the E-Liter, normally a weapon I would never touch because of the sheer liability I am when using it. Good E-Liters can hold the backline and ensure victories - bad E-Liters (which I definitely trend towards being) cost their team opportunities to win. (I also got to fight Yukino, who was in this video, in a bunch of ranked matches. Both with and against!)
SuperCullen004 that’s why I like the Kensa scope. It zooms in but it’s quick enough to where I can just let go right at full charge. It doesn’t require me aiming making sure I don’t miss. I have to watch my ink tank with an E-liter
Placing beakons when you run away is a last ditch defense mechanism, since they take damage they can shield you for a bit or distract the foe, is not guaranteed to work but could save you every now and then
Sleepy Egg as a competitive charger player, it just takes a lot of practice and most other competitive charger players with say it’s all about the map. If I was a playing on a small map then I would use the scope version because there isn’t a lot of opportunity to use the hold mechanism. If it were a map like Ancho v games, I would use the non scope because I could use the mechanics more. Just practice using the scope and use keep this in mind when you want to use charger ;D
Cup O Noodles np but i havent had the problem myself so im not sure if it works but with joycons ive had the problem and it sometimes fixes with toothbrush
As someone who uses E liter alot (when I'm on my good days, I'm pretty good haha) you have a wayss to go. But yeah, never use the scope please. Please.
I’m no charger main, but I find that holding the charge to steady my aim on a target for about a second or two usually helps when aiming rather than firing the second I hear the full charge. (Granted, this is usually against a single target out of position). Sometimes, if you’re scoped in it’s alright to simply cancel by turning into a squid since you have a better field of view when you”re unscoped
My joystick randomly shifts, too! I'll be playing normally and out of no where my character starts moving but nothing is holding it in a direction! I assumed it was because I used switch but my friend who bought a new one said that her joysticks started doing it, too. I thought we were the only ones because I didn't see anyone talking about it.
As someone who recently bought the game and is slowly learning the ropes (some a bit more painfully than others) I have to say... HOW THE FLYING FISH DO YOU FOLKS MAIN CHARGERS?! Are you powered by contempt for the enemy team alone? Getting three chargers on my team in Moray Towers (and I was one of them cause I'm a fool) was exquisite pain, and I'm reasonably certain the rollers on the other team were laughing at us the whole game >_< In any event I'm glad to know I'm not alone in my struggles, and I think the N'Zaps will be my go-to...
8:44 is the best feeling ever. One time it was about 10.secs left in the match and we obviously lost so I was just half heartily shooting at people. This person activated their bubbles and jumped down through them and I shot them mid air.
