The idea that everyone has a fair shot at college admissions in the US just isn't true. Systemic racism and inequalities exist, making it harder for some groups to succeed. We need to address these issues to ensure a level playing field.

As to college admissions, how is allowing a person with 200-500 lower SAT helping anyone except for the corrupt university that charges too much money. Lowering admission standards or hiring standards is just setting someone up for failure and sticks them with massive college debt on top of it. Think past the platitudes...

Well, if you came from a community that is under-served or that is typically excluded from gaining equity -- you too would be all of those things. Systems and approaches were put into place to help address this matter -- and instead of investing MORE in these systems more, a bunch of folks were like: "A BENEFIT FOR SOMEONE THAT IS NOT ME, GAHHH". The people against DEI are not really adversely affected by it in reality; the real issue is that they don't want to see the playing field get adjusted. They LIKE the current playing field, and they like that things are skewed because it is skewed in the favor of those who already have the equity and access.

If a person exercises any authority on earth, ultimately that authority has been granted by God(from above).
