I like it too. Very well designed and lovely plus the location. The strairs and hand rail are manufactured from corton steel, which is a kind of weathered looking steel. Whether they paint it over there I really do not know, but if they do they simply add a paint which serves as a preservativet.

Wow being an American we don’t see anything nearly as old as this! Amazing stories of life that occurred with in these walls! Just so appealing! Are these stone houses cold or full of moisture ? I really don’t know. After reading a few of the comments do you by these then renovate them? I have no clue about the price but its certainly not out of reach.

One of the smartest remodelling of a space I've seen! And oozing with atmosphere! Really loved seeing this, if outdoor space isnt a priority, and you don't need more closed off bedrooms, this is really a bullseye. Gorgeous details throughout, and that view to boot! All you need is a Vespa! (and a little chunk of cash 😉) Whomever did this is an architect or interior designer for sure! 💕💕💕

Smashing little get-away! Love it! When one wants a get-away to Italy, and ok choosing carefully who to 'rent' to for B & B purposes. Simple, pack a small bag, a pair of shoes, a hat and be done with it. Buy anything local, ship it back home or sell it, give it away before you leave. No clutter. One fault IMHO that steep ladder up needs a railing. Easy to slip off sideways into a nasty fall. Tricky for young children. Otherwise? Smashing. Keys? Home!

A bit belated today (I had to pressure-wash all our terraces ;)) - but yes: this is a true gem in an extraordinary surrounding. The combination of very old beams, tiles and walls with the industrial feeling of the newer additions makes is really stunning. €250K? Are you kidding? There is no living room, only 2 bedrooms, no insulation on at least one external wall nor roof… Your over the top introduction must be part of a joke, but I am not getting it. The views and location are fantastic, but this is a weekend home, not a permanent one. Or perhaps a good investment for rental, but not with that price tag.

The non insulated roof and absence of an attic is a nightmare in the cold of the winter and in summer if it gets really hot.

Like so many of your viewers, I was captured by the rustic and beautiful decor of this apartment. So much so, that I contacted your office, who graciously took the time to immediately answer my questions and forwarded the contact info of the owner. I’m beside myself with anticipation of staying in this sweet abode for 3 weeks this fall. ( for the curious, the fireplace functions and wood is available to purchase) The owner has a bakery in town and all their reviews have been excellent. Your videos have become a welcome addition to my morning tea… they have inspired me to get off my chair, stop daydreaming and make this trip a reality. I doubt I would have discovered this charming place on my own. Thanks Nick for your introduction to an Italian experience, your videos are entertaining as well as informative. trouble finding fault? let me help: the place looks like it has four rooms, and many solid doors, but because the open stair, or ladder is in the main bedroom, and connects it to the loft, which is open to the kitchen, and to the second loft - any noise, or smell will get into every corner all at once. The place is perfect, for a sworn hermit, and then it would be too large. Sorry - - Hmm. One could ditch that ladder, close the hole and connect the two lofts with a walkway of sorts - that would help, and free a few square meters of floorspace, on both levels, at the same time.

Hi Nick, what a great job these people did with the remodel! Every detail so well thought out. Decorated very tastefully. They were able to get so much living space in such a small Space. The view is outstanding and so was the entrance. The outside of the entrance was so beautiful too looking so Italian and speacial. Iam sure this property won’t be on the market for long. Well done apartment, but so expensive from European standards. Also, can't count mezzanine areas as part of official square footage- so 75m2 with no outside space. The owners did a good job, but it is not worth 250,000 euros. Lovely view, though too bad it is a bit ruined with those awful tennis courts. The interior design is done very well.

To expensive. It's cute indeed but not practical at all. Good to spend hollydays or few weeks during summer time. If someone want to spend more time, this person as to be alone because it's to small. For people after 60 years old it's even worst with that so small second floor. Val d'Orcia is beautiful yes, but this appartement is really a sort of bed and breakfast. A couple who spend more than few days in that space is not going happy for long. But yes it's lovely.

So glad you are back. Just a couple of things. First off everything you say knockers I laugh as it is old slang for women's breaststroke, secondly you scared me to death thinking oh I hope he doesn't fall going up the "stairs" in the master bedroom. And last how far is the nearest train station and secondly is there a place to buy your groceries? Take care of yourself and I loved the property ❤

Yeah…it’s a studio. To small and laid out badly. Decorated and staged well but not good bones unless you’re single with a job where you’re gone alot, not great.

What a special property! You had me at the intro...with the neighboring houses, that fine arch, and the private seating area. You're right about the renovations; they're top notch. The stone/brick walls and the ceiling are fantastic. I thought the price would be higher, considering the area and quality of the work. I see the town only has about 400-500 people. Is there a restaurant or bar there, or is it necessary to go to Pienza? Nick, thanks for another winner! You definitely aren't resting on your laurels.
