I was freaking out about "value" packs, because I thought that they would have a rare or mythic in every pack. Turns out that only 1 in 12 "value" packs contain a rare or mythic (less than 9% of the time). I think we may be safe from "value" packs destroying the value of the set. Think of them as the Jumpstart of Bloomburrow.

The game needs a product like this. For kids to find some change and go grab a pack with their friends and flip out over the rare they got. What it doesn't need is some suit deciding that the rare slot is such a valuable commodity that they can't even do the common sense thing and include one in every pack.

I disagree with you on this product. The Value packs will have no value in them. This is yet another RIPOFF product just like Aftermath and Assassin's GREED and your chances of getting a rare is so slim. Even at $2.00 a pack it is still a RIPOFF!!! Wizards are preying on younger kids and grandparents. How low can you go Chris Cocks? If I had a store, I would not even sell this lousy product. All you are getting 3 commons, 2 uncommons, and the odds of getting a rare card is so low with a good possibility of getting a lousy land card. Most of the time you will get around .30 cents worth of cards. Thank you for the video.

Worst products is all new wizards products they are killing the game slowly but surely.

They would be good if they're $2 and had a better hit rate. Something like, you can't get a Mythic, but you can get a rare every 2-3 packs. But the reality they'll be $3-4 and have a rare every 10 packs, which is just terrible and not a good product for anyone. Also, a $3 pack that actually has stuff in it is very different from a $3 pack that has nothing in it. Even Unfinity has the cool lands in it, is draftable, and can get you a shock land.

I've been cooking a TCG and I think the 2.99 price point is very key. Cheap, assessible with a focus on alt arts instead of power cards.

Then why didnt the dollar store MTG packs constantly sell out? Nobody I knew ever touched them.

I agree that Commander Furries i.e Bloomburrow would be the best set to use to do this.

If they're too cheap we'll get a Fallen Empires situation. Ideally if these have say 8 cards they'd be half the cost of a Play booster.

Even at €2 I will not buy these, 9% chance to get a Rare and 0.25% to get a Special Guest is just crazy

Value Booster = Gravity Booster 2.0. Based on the article these won't be in LGSes ("available at select retailers" probably means no LGSes, maybe not even Amazon) and aimed at grandparents looking to buy something small for their grandkids. If it's $1-$2 then it's fine, $4 then it's horrible.

I would gladly pay $2-$3 for a classic draft pack with fewer commons and uncommons and only 1 rare. Less bulk, fewer rares for less $ is fine by me.

3,99$ would be crazy stupid i mean Draft packs with 15 Cards and 100% Rare at least is not that long ago. and these were sometimes even less then 3$ (when you bought a full display) i mean Innistrad Midnight Hunt is till this day around 2-3$ 😅😂
