Say what you will about Dave, but he is the ultimate showman. His antics after the guitar solo during Dance the Night away are entertaining and hilarious to me.

As a phx native of a certain age, I have seen the mighty VH many times. Veterans Memorial ect. My friends who were just older were fortunate to see them at Celebrity Theater. 2600 seats in 1978. Wow!!! I love the way this was edited to include shots from all over the arena.This show was my last time... Thank you for posting!!

I was at this show. Thanks for posting. I actually left 15 minutes early to beat the traffic and hit 11 pm Philly’s Bar and Grill happy hour. So at least now I get to watch the ending. This was my tenth VH concert so I’ve watched them play Panama and Jump many times.

DLR put on a hell of a show. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. "Light up the Sky" was awesome!

THE BEST LINE UP Apart from Anthony, however This was an outstanding True VAN HALEN live Representation, all the Keyboard warriors that hammered DLR go suck on an egg, did you expect a miracle?, the Guy is human, older yet still has the Sexy frontman style that Hagar never had. Just great to hear all the Classics in this awesome set, thanks for sharing !!

This was a very entertaining tour - and that’s the point isn’t it? This is not an episode of “The Voice” where all the wannabes regale us with their sad stories and why their singing is so important - we don’t give a shit. This is rock n roll and a raw exploration of attitudes and mojo and the raw human condition. DLR entertains and gives me my moneys worth….i go to a rock show to pump my fist, get drunk, smoke some weed and get taken on a trip of loud fucking great songs….DLR delivers and EVH is the GOAT….i have always been entertained at a VH show

We were at this show. My 2 takeaways were: 1. Be careful what you wish for (I was always a DLR guy, but he was horrendous) Dave barely even tries to stay on key and skips half the words. 2. Wolfie was 100x better than expected

It was a great show, Kenny Wayne Sheppard opened if I recall. Just watched the newly posted Australia show from 2013 and this performance was far better.

This would have this would have been one of their last shows within about a week of their Hollywood shows. I saw them about 6 weeks before this. I think they went out on top. Ed’s playing was on point. I think he was sober.

Saw them with DLR six or seven times in their prime...most of those on the front row. There are only a few bands that literally you could not top during their time in the spotlight (thinking Beatles and the like). Van Halen was one of those few bands.

I love Ed’s ivory wolfgang. I picked up a made in Japan one. Last guitar he played. The USA wolfgang was too pricey for me. I also picked up a stealth lunchbox head. Last amp Ed used. Have a 1x12 ivory evh cab with it

DLR: Equal parts vaudeville and vegas. Only Liberace and Wayne Newton could surpass his cheesy schtick.

Got to see Ed, Alex and wolf sound check before one of the Jones Beach ny shows the month before. They kicked ass! Dlr didn’t sound check. And to me it shows
