I remember watching the vhs with my family like 25 years ago and when he asks if we were ready we all yelled “NO” and then cracked up really hard when he says “GOOD” 😂
OMG, I'm so glad I'm not alone in this 😅 Keith David picture with the characters he played came on my time line and I was like, 'Oh yeah I remember the Gargoyles, let me see if that video tape game is still horrifying after all these years." 😂 For me, yes, it's still a bit horrifying to me.
In every standard board games, your opponents are your friends. In this board game, your friends are not your opponents. Instead, you're working together with your friends, and your opponents are Xanatos and the clock.
That countdown has haunted me for years....and its hilarious that the "movie trailer guy" reads the instructions. I want all game instructions read by this guy.
I used to have this. I still have the tape, but I lost all the game pieces. Ah the nostaligia, and my older brother recently picked up a Gargoyles board game called Gargoyles Awakening.
16:21 "The player who just spun must now pick up a Demona Card _and do what it says..._ " has been a nightmare hiding in my brain for almost thirty years XDD
Good old memories. Loved Gargoyles growing up. Still solid series that has aged beautifully over the years. 1st thing I watched when DisneyPlus was released.

It's not Xanatos I'm worried about. It's Demona who's the real problem. In fact, if you'd like to know the truth, I don't think we'll ever have to worry about Xanatos again, especially now that he has a wife and son.
When I was really young and I saw this after the movie and got freaked out. Like I didn’t understand the game and the timer scared the hell outta me lol. The random lightning strikes didn’t help me either lol
Two things about the background track playing in most of this game; it was also used in Brothers Garcia during the camping episode. Second thing is an opinion.... it kind of feels like it could be music from Resident Evil Director's Cut.
I had this game! Sadly my older sister only had enough patience to play with me once and my cousins weren't hearing any of it when we had Sega games to play lol
Brings back memories. I just remembered thaf me and mg sibs played this and reached the Eyrie Bldg, we were wondering why the steel clan is still activated. Later on we realized we just have to stop the tape. Lols
I played this game YEARS ago as a kid and today a woman in my town was selling the board game on Facebook Marketplace for $5 so I bought it. Don't have a VCR so I came here to watch it. I COMPLETELY DIDN'T REALIZE RIKER AND TROI WAS ON THIS SERIES TOO.
The musical pieces heard throughout the game all came from the same album. (MX002 Drama Plus Vol. 1) "Wait Until Dark" "Poltergeist" "Nocturnal Bells" "Criminal Intent" The only musical piece that was not on the album is the music heard when Don LaFontaine gives instructions on how to play the game.
Haven't watched this since the 90's. Still remember the how it all looks though. I used to be scared of this game cause my family would all keep dying. Dark music the whole way through, not a very bright and hopeful game for a child even though I loved gargoyles
This was cool. I wish I had it but I never did. If I had the pieces to this VCR Board game, I'd try to store them in some Ziploc bags so that I will NOT lose them. I'd even put the board game somewhere safe where I cannot lose it.
Man this brings back so many memories I think I actually lost the board game when I got the VHS Still it was cool to watch this after the movie was finished Looking at the animated backgrounds and listening to that sinister music
So even if you said the words and you were wine the tape and do exactly as it said at the end would you win or are you just going to lose every time this thing plays cuz I never did that?
I remember playing this game when I was 5 years old my sister was 4 years old we were both playing the game with the Tape that we used to have a long time ago in the 90’s 🩷🩷🩷🩷💛💛💛💛
