VEG. Beef and Broccoli - Chinese Takeout Style
Better than the original !!
- Easy Vegan Asian dish that goes well with rice!
INGREDIENTS
for 1 serving
2 CUPS Soaked soy protein (washed several times and drained completely)

MARINATE SAUCE
1 TSP White pepper
1 TBSP Light soy sauce
1 TBSP Sesame oil
FRY SAUCE
2 TBSP Corn starch
1 CUP Water
1 TSP Brown sugar
1 TBSP Dark soy sauce
1 TBSP Light soy sauce
1 TSP Maple syrup
2 - 3 TBSP Vegetable oil
1 TBSP Chopped garlic
1 TSP Chopped ginger
1 TBSP White wine
1 CUP Cooked broccoli
1 TBSP Sesame oil
SERVING
White rice
Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
1. Prepare soaked soy protein in a large bowl.
2. Add pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil and marinate for 30 minutes.
3. In a separate bowl, combine corn starch, water, sugar, soy sauce, maple syrup and set aside.
4. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
5. Add white wine, marinated soy protein and fry until golden brown.
6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and add cooked broccoli. Stir to coat the broccoli with the sauce, mix well until thickened.
7. Add sesame oil and quickly mix.
8. Remove from the heat and serve with rice. Sprinkle some sesame seeds if desired.
