So what does Vegan cheese taste like? In this video I am sharing my thoughts on 3 Vegan Cheese brands and sharing what vegan cheese is made of. I will be trying the Follow Your Heart cheese, Daiya cheese and Violife Cheese.

The Miyoko butter is expensive but it’s perfect. I also love the miyoko triple cream chive cheese wheel (and it lasts a long time in the fridge because it’s fermented), it’s fantastic on tofu scramble or a cheese plate or on other savory things where you want to add a little creamy cheesy flavor on things that won’t be overwhelmed by chive; there is also a sun dried tomato cheese wheel as well that is good for spreading on sandwiches or melting over pasta. For cream cheese, Nuttin Ordinary is the best one but it’s impossible to find, Treeline is the next best and it’s easier to find; the Spero sunflower cream cheese is also good and has a lightness that reminds me of whipped cream cheese vibes (it’s grayish because it’s made from sunflower seeds, but the taste is there and I find it to be pretty addictive).

Field Roast Chao (original creamy or the other flavors) is an excellent vegan cheese also. It was my dairy cheese loving daughter’s gateway vegan cheese- before eating it she thought they were all gross. For the brave/adventurous eaters: I had some vegan feta that got old and smelled/looked like bleu cheese. I decided to try some on a salad and *IT WAS DELICIOUS* !!! It tasted the same as I remember bleu cheese tasting. I did NOT have any digestive issues afterwards, but try at your own risk. 😁

You picked up some of the best DF cheeses in your first taste test! These took me so long to find, but after 1.5 years of being DF those are all my favorites. Also, I have been binging your videos for days, thank you for all of the amazing content.

Cheese is really hard to give up, I know I'm supp to use the vegan ones as well. I would like to try nutritional yeast, I've heard a lot about it... thanks for the video Marsha

Im really so sad that they all have corn starch in them as I have a corn allergy (as well as cows milk, wheat, and shellfish) and cant have anything with corn starch, corn syrup etc. Ive always been nervous about daiy free cheeses as I had a bad experience with being forced to try goat cheese as a teenager shortly after developing my food allergies but ive been looking into new foods lately and was kind of excited about these 😢

I love Follow your heart smoked Gouda. It makes the best grilled “cheese”. I like the Voila mozzarella shreds on pizza. Daiya has been my least favorite. I’m not brave enough to eat any of them straight out of the package. 🤣I think you can freeze Daiya though. Another brand I want to try is Miyoko’s.

I'm not vegan but I have a dairy/lactose intolerance. I get really nauseous. So I'm on the hunt for the best vegan cheese. I'm currently using GoVeggie from my local grocery store. It's real good, although it has a way higher melting point than normal cheese so I can't really top it on anything, I can only cook with it.

Yeah I'm not sure what is up with these vegan cheeses not melting. Its darn near impossible lol. But good to know that the GoVeggie brand is really good. I will try to look for it next time I'm at the store! Thanks!!
