Always enjoy your vids and your commentary. Your collection of shoes and the way you show them plus your knowledge of each one really interests me. I learn so much about them. I used to be a butler factotem for a gentleman in London England and looked after his whole townhouse, clothes, shoes, mostly all bespoke. Riding boots too...He had this one room filled with his shoes...the smell of leather was intoxicating! Spent and enjoyed many hours polishing..His were size 12 too! such fine workmanship to admire Watching your vids brings it all back. I know I could never afford even a bit of your collection of shoes but I drool over them!! Thank you!
I use Venetian Shoe Cream, however; after your comparison, I think I need to give Lexol a try. Thanks for taking the time to produce this video. Good job! I too, use Saphir; and have found it to be excellent on my calf skin shoes. I’m wondering if you might know if Saphir can be used on Horween Chromexcel? For anyone who doesn’t need a lifetime supply of Venetian, I’ve found Oak Street Shoes in Chicago to have the cheapest 4 ounce bottles of Venetian at $5.00 and its a few dollars cheaper than Amazon, the last time I checked. Oak Street sells Venetian and a limited amount of other shoe supplies thru its online store. I usually buy 3 or 4 bottles of Venetian at a time, coupled with another item to get beyond its $25 threshold for free shipping. Hope this helps. PS: This is not a commercial. I’m not affiliated with Oak Street Shoes...LOL...
Please consider and try an old old American brand for your nice collection like I have for over a two decades . Angelus Luster Cream. Top of the line but forgotten amongst the marketing hype. Made for Cordovan Leather. It is important to travel with a small horsehair brush to use before wearing any shoes, especially Shell Cordovan. Especially during travel. Nice Shoe Trees. Thanks for sharing. I have Lexol in my Garage because I use it at home for my Cars interior and Home leather sofas. I guess when I don't want less of a shine I will use the Venetian shoe cream. Do you know how Venetian Shoe Cream Compares to Black Rock Shoe Cream?
