She’s free. They won’t retry the case too expensive and they’d have to deal with Michael Proctor again and he is what lost thus case

​@@BoxerClover It's not the slam dunk "not guilty" they thought they were going to get. So, it's back to the drawing board for them now to prepare for the "do-over." The problem for the defense is that the prosecution gets a "do-over" to prepare and to hone their case better this time if it goes to trial again. Trooper Proctor is and will be the biggest problem for the prosecution. The big "multi- person conspiracy" to frame K. Read theory is and will be their biggest problem. If this case goes to trial again, the outcome may be very different.

FBI is on Proctor. There won't be a retrial. Heartbreaking for JO family but they believed the wrong people. They should've accused the LE for not doing their job properly.

NG is preferred of course but hung jury is always much better than guilty. Did I really need to explain that or are you just trolling?

I too feel very badly for John's parents and the O'Keefe family, and for everyone. The jury no doubt tried their best in this complicated case. idk if Karen hit John or not, but the injuries to John really do not seem to match getting hit by her vehicle; or any vehicle. It's just the evidence itself that hasn't proven anything. imo there are a lot of reasons for reasonable doubt. idk about some of the other theories so am not going to comment on them. i have to say, that not long ago, i was so worried that i ''must have'' hit something [not a person though]. And when i asked specifically about it, i definitely did not hit anything at all. But until i heard that, i thought i surely must have. + A similar thing at work; an area that is a small space with people. I'd be working away, hear something fall behind me, and i'd ask the people, ''did i cause that to happen?'', or, ''did i do that?''. But every single time i had not. So worrying or asking or even thinking something might have happened before the facts come out doesn't indicate ''guilt''. Like others, i too pondered that maybe Karen hit him and didn't realize it at first. But then why do the injuries not match? Why did no one see him out there? So very many questions. It's a sad situation for everyone for sure; of course most of all to John's parents, and his entire family.

DA already announced that they will retry the case ! A conference is scheduled for 7/22 at 2:00 pm. At that time, The Commonwealth will formally announce that they are retrying the case. They may decide to make changes to the charges. I don’t really know what else will happen.

How much for the bridge, I don't buy the conspiracy but there is too much reasonable doubt mainly being hit by suv 24 mph would leave more injuries. So tragic for the police officer but what did really happen? Reasonable doubt is reasonable doubt, innocent or guilty couldn't be established because of the doubt either way

From what I have seen and heard imo there isn’t any proof she did it and those injuries help convince me. If you heard her say it you need to come forward. This was a cop. Don't you think the cops investing would do there best to find out what happened to their own? They botched this investigation at every turn so either they are completely ignorant or also covering for one of their own.

​@St99748 The EMT made no note of this in their report and didn't add that they heard this confession until well after they'd given their original testimony. That is the case with everyone who testifies to hearing Karen say "I hit him" that day. None of their testimony includes this until after they've already given statements. I'm no conspiracy theorist, I can accept one person forgetting or changing their statement on something this "key", but multiple?
