Hey dude, just wanna ask experienced user like you, can i change my rear rim from 10” to 11”? Example like if i have primavera rim which is front and rear are 11”, is it gonna fit LX150? Kindly help.
@@mu3h i am not certain, i do see some sites list the rear size as 11". mine is 10". i think that robot and steve once mentioned "the correct size" wheels for the lx but i do not recall which is correct. ive always had 10" rear and 11" front
@@sabasbabas5764 I just got my 09 LX150 mint cond. I have people walking up to me ask questions and compliment the style and how sharp and simple and elegant. Many look at it and stair at it as I drive by.
Thank you. I love my ‘13 LX. At 6’ and 34” inseam I’ve plenty of room but did remove the step from the seat so I could slide back a bit for more flexibility.
@@fintonmainz7845 I lucked out, there happened to be a seat designer here in town who had helped me fix my Subaru seat so I could spend more than 20 minutes on it. I showed him my Vespa seat and he had his helper whip the cover off, take the electric knife to it, and staple it back together. Took maybe 20 minutes. Any good trim shop can do it for you or you could do it yourself. Made a world of difference and looks original.
Thank you for the videos Just bought a neglected 2007 LXV150 Vespa(portofino green) and changing out all the oils, replacing tires and fixing some cosmetics. Long time bigger cc rider wanting something to scoot around town. These are beautiful scooters.
Can I ask how much you paid and how many miles were on the bike? I’m considering a 2009 LXV 150 with 112 miles on it for $3600. It has been dropped and has some scratches. Want to make sure I’m getting a fair price.
Hey Robot! First I have to thank You for Your videos! My LX has strange problem and I can't find any similar. My Fuel Pump is rattling when I turn the key, without Igniting it. Then I can get it to run, but it does not run smoothly. When I try to drive, It loses power and turns off. Do You have any Idea, what should I check?
I want to echo this comment. Fluid presentation...bravo! I bought this scooter (listed as a 2005) without the benefit of a walk around. Robot, you have just done that for me. Thank you. I will enjoy the scooter even more! Beep beep.
Just picked this exact model up . Cant open the Glove box. Cant see how I get to behind it to investiagte whats wrong. The front logo pops opff and I can undo 2 screws but still doesnt seem to loosen anything. Any pointers apreciated. Thanks
Hi Robot or anyone. I just bought a 2010 vespa gts super 125 ie thats been sitting in a garage for 4 years!!! What should i do before i try turning the engine with new battery, oil and fuel. Is there a risk the oil would solidify in the engine or can the old fuel left in the carburator irreversibly damage it? Any advice welcome before i start doing anything. Its not starting and there is no juice what soever of course Thanks
Give this video a watch, hopefully there's some info in here that will answer your questions. Thanks! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JdzfBL5Si-M.html
I have the exact same one, except it’s a 50cc Wondering why my speedometer is twitchy, is this normal for this model or is that like an electrical issue
The speedometer cable is mechanical. Check the end of the cable where it meets the knuckle at the front wheel. Turn the interior shaft of the cable with your fingers both directions (or hook up to the end of a drill if you're careful) and look at the speedo to see if the needle moves. If not you may have to take off the dash panels to access the cable where it meets the instrument cluster to diagnose it the cable is broken. Also check the small plastic gear that meets the cable in the knuckle. Yes, these are regularly prone to failure. I checked mine yesterday on my LX 50 and the metal sheathing where it screws into the instrument cluster was cracked. Good luck!
Robot’s fancypants personal LX might do 65-70 with its taller gears, but the stock LX tops out at 55-57 on a good day! Someday can you explain why the gunk that plugs up carburetors when the gas gets stale doesn’t seem to affect a fuel injector?
Probably the fuel system running at a higher pressure is my guess. The gunk probably gets shot right through vs a vacuum fuel tap and carb just getting plugged.
Enjoy my 2008 lx. Used the kick starter once. There must have been enough charge. Mine has a sealed batter,y aftermarket maybe. No problem with it. Easy to maitain. Almost no special tools. I recommend a special spark plug tool. Call Robot. You will need a tool to stablize the clutch, when changing belt. It all can be done at home...
@@adityabagaskara321 I install the same weight as the original rollers 10grams, now my vespa is very slow to start moving, the consumption is like 21 km/l, before it was 32 km/l, and the final doesn't go more than 70 km//h.... Maybe this year I will try the techpulley 9grams, let's see.
A nice plain scooter without all the plastic panels in Japanese and Chinese scooters, it's a scooter not a racing motorcycle which the others seem to want their scooters to look like, they are a mechanics nightmare.
