My brother served 2 tours of Vietnam. He was in Paris Island in July. I cry when i hear this song. He recently passed away. Until he took his last breath he was always proud to have served his country. As the song says a Marine for life.
As a retired Marine, i enlisted in the Marine Corps on the delayed entry program the summer of 1990 when i graduated high school in the June of 1991 i left for bootcamp 3 day's later. I never thought i would stay in for 22 years but i did. I first saw combat in Somalia in early 1993, then again in Haiti in 1994, yet again in Kosovo in 1999. Honestly i thought after Kosovo i would never see combat again boy was i wrong. I ended up doing 2 combat deployments to Iraq and 3 combat deployments to Afghanistan. I lost so many friends in those places but the one's that hurt the most were the friends who ended up taking their own lives back home. You guy's do a great justice to all veterans with your reaction videos. Stan I know you as a veteran yourself how much these reaction videos mean to us thank you both.

My dad was a proud marine in the Korean War and World war 2! He never talked too much about his many tours of service except that until the day he died he refused to eat rice! Stan thank you so very much for your service! ❤️
I served in the U.S.Navy during Vietnam, but I have so much respect for Marines. I will always remember that first hair cut. Most of all I remember my fiends that did not get to come home.

My father was not Semper Fi......but he was still military. 22yrs retired MSGTand did Aviation E!ectronics....during Vietnam. I miss him so much, passed 3 yrs ago....
For the civilians out there who don't know the significants of boot camp in July, it's not the heat and the humidity that are annoying as much as the sand fleas. You're hot, you're sweaty and the little suckers feed on that salt in your perspiration.
Been there done that. Sand fleas would drag you out of formation ( don’t you touch them, Drill Instructor’s) pets )and skeeters the size of F-4’s. Well at least out at third herd.
Nothing but Admiration and Respect to my Brothers and Sisters in the Military! I use to tell them, when I came in contact with them, my being a police officer for over 20 years (now retired), I wanted them to know, while they were away from home protecting us! I was here at home, protecting their families! Hopefully, in some small way, I tried to make them feel a little better, being away from home. As I knew, they made me feel a little better, knowing they were busy, protecting me and my family. All My Best... To those serving in the Military!!!

Mr.Stan, wado for your service for our country. I know that saying to you “wado for your service” does not come close for what you did for us here at home. wado (Cherokee for thank you), for you and your family😊. I have had my father, uncles, cousins and two of my brothers who served our country.
Two of my nephews were in Afghanistan at the same time . I remember one day talking to the youngest brother and suddenly horns sounded he didn't even say goodbye but ran out leaving the laptop running. Next thing I hear gun fire going off then the computer went dark . We didn't know what happened until the next day when he was able to call and let us know he was ok but where he was had been attacked by the Taliban. His brother was out on patrol and the Humvee in front of him was hit and his best friend died in his arms . That's why so many come back with PTSD. I still have nightmares about that day but can you imagine being my nephew and actually seeing the death .
