I have Tourette’s and I personally never had a tic like that, but one could have a a tic that would cause them to move their hand to their month. While I don't know anyone with it, and you could confirm since you have it. I just feel like the people who "show" having it always seem to be to extreme. Like the videos from Tourette's Guy, and comparing it to TicsandRoses just shows how vastly different they are. His are always similar, almost routine, while her tics are just all over and never repeated. It just seems to extreme to me, and that's why I always thought it was fake. Kinda like how they portrayed Cartmen having Tourette's. Also I have to ask, why does it have an 's in it? Why is the word spelled that way?
@@Dkgow well for the first part, I’ve had tics that are like one and done, either the motor tic happens once ro vocal tic is said once and I don’t have that one again. So no repeating tics itself isn’t a dead giveaway someone is faking. Usually people with Tourette’s have at least a couple that like to stay for while (you can have one for like a month, not have that one for a while and it randomly shows up again) like for example I have one that results in punching my chest, I have that at least a few times daily, but I once had a vocal tic that never happened again. While I don’t know why it a “‘s” I hope I answered the first part your reply. The sketchek thing was really awkward when I found out about it. Especially since I played tf2 at the time he left and still was when came back and since we are both Australian I would often run into him in public servers.
Also talking about how he was worried about the fan reaction if he quit the game this was right after popular RU-vidrs Star_ and Jerma985 stopped playing and they both received pretty bad backlash with people rallying against them and feeling like they were being betrayed. Muselk also got similar backlash when he stopped making tf2 videos for Overwatch.
Hot Take: If you are done with RU-vid/Streaming. Just go dark. Tell anyone in your community you are close to if you want, but don't worry about anyone's perception. Don't go out in any way, because it will cause more stress and depression with how much hate you will get. There will always be a good part of your community that will chastise and hate you for wanting to be done. Because they don't respect the person working, they just want their little bit of entertainment.

About ticsandroses, there is no possible way for us to tell if she was lying. Her sister posted calling her a fake, but by that time they had already been out of contact for a very long time. Also, it is very possible for someone to have very complex, and context reliant tics, even at the frequency of ticsandroses's.

I grew up during the time where a lot of girls online where having their "depressed double personality" persona to get attention and for a time it made me genuinely distrustful and dismissive of anyone that claimed to have any mental illness, now I'm like "I'd rather believe you and lose 10 minutes of my life hearing you out, than call you a liar and possibly make it worse for someone that is in need of help."
About the consultation papers for the doctors my family has a long history of issues (adhd, depression, OCD, etc.) most doctors won’t put the abbreviation. At least not without the full name. Adhd wouldn’t be written as ADHD it would be Attentive Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) if they put abbreviations. Currently going through an autism diagnosis myself I have yet to see my doctor put an abbreviation on its own for anything. Maybe they do it differently in other places but where I live that’s already a red flag for false documentation. As for the left handed comment that wouldn’t be put there. My mom is ambidextrous and that isn’t mentioned anywhere on her diagnoses.

Yea unfortunately being someone baring witness to the community of TF2 content that a highly vocal chunk always really believed we were small when in reality we were always big we just wasn’t on a COD or Battlefield level around those times, but people practically felt paranoid on losing said community just cuz “it can’t compete” with others and Overwatch about to release? Yea they gave into their own self-made fear to the point that Overwatch is taboo and even leaving TF2 content creation did too with only some exceptions for particularly circumstances like Shibby working in a major role in Machinima and Jerma having always been variety content and TF2 was just repeatable, but everyone else? Well some fans was unjustifiably gonna tear em apart that the safest thing was basically just not be a frequent uploader so you get an excuse why you didn’t have a video out for weeks or so. And truthfully I think the only reason now why some people aren’t being like that anymore is both cuz perhaps some people matured for the better (despite damage already being done) or some people realized that while they still hold anger they can’t keep forcing it upon more TF2 creators otherwise they’ll run em all out cuz even new risers eventually found their burn out point
Would that really be the case with someone taking taking a break or quitting youtube entirely? I thought that part of the TF2 community mainly made a fuss about creators moving to different games like Overwatch or Fortnite because they consider it selling out.

Major backlash... i know at the very least Star_ and RTGame had this treatment when they were branching out from their channel. However you need to look at it a little differently, since to the hardcore tf2 fans, a person branching out or someone just fully leaving has very little difference to them because it means they no longer get content they enjoy. And for some reason... People werent as forgiving when someone just left without an extremely good reason back then... Which obviously lead to the fake terminal illness claim here. Now luckily the tf2 community doesnt have anywhere near as many hardcore fans like that... But they are also a little... Desperate due to how tf2 is now even ignored by the developers (somewhat). So theres a chance this could happen again if someone was to fully leave.
@@ami6785 I'm aware of the backlash many channels faced for branching out as well but I can't think of any who have ever faced backlash for just stopping to upload or quitting youtube. I think it's very naive to assume less content was the driving cause of those type of backlashes rather than the rather obvious anger and bitterness those people felt against content creators for "growing past", "moving on from" or "betraying" TF2. I'm sure that played a part but the entitlement was clearly more than people just being bummed out over a general lack of content. I certainly understand people being legitimately afraid of that kind of backlash when quitting youtube back then but I doubt their fears would have been realized.
To the pranks, I think actually harassingly is worse, but pretending will still lead the dumb kids and such to believe they could do it too and get away with it. As the reactions to the pranks will never be very harsh. Which might lead to some stupid teens getting their ass beat or worse.

Apparently the team fortress fanbase at that time was suuuper toxic, so if he just said he was quitting they would of had a meltdown; so for his own safety (to not get loads of death threats and angry comments) he faked his death 😅 Still not good what he did but like you can semi understand..people on the internet really suck

I believe acting as an officer isn’t illegal, but representing yourself as an officer to someone is. Like, you can hire a fake cop for your party or video, but someone can’t just dress up and tell people they’re a cop.

You cannot actually CLAIM to be a cop, but obviously being a cop actor (not a real cop) is totally legal; similar thing with military personnel (it's illegal to claim you are one if you are not, but actors can act as military personnel in movies because they aren't trying to legitimately claim they're in the military it's all fake). In the case of the video the actor wouldn't be arrested, not their video, it's on the video creators to state that the actor isn't a real cop (via description, title, or by adding credits in the video) tl;dr: What's illegal is trying to fool people into thinking you are one, actors are void of this as they aren't trying to convince you they're really the thing they're pretending to be..you know they're an actor.

We use hooks because it's the best way to catch them in certain areas, in the ocean (commercial fishing) nets are often used as they can easily catch entire schools in one go; not because they don't hurt the fish..it's one of those things we refer to as "necessary evils"..banning fishing bans some people from being able to feed their families, fishing hurts the fish but it's necessary for our survival to a point (like how farms aren't always the best to their livestock, but we usually allow it as we need the food)
