I believe Kalevala means water, big lake or similar. In Kalevala you for sure have tons inspiration for a next theme. As always, master craftsmanship and a great video. Mikko for president!

Kalevala is actually a poetic name for Finland. So Kalevala is pretty much the same as Midgard is in the norse mythology.

That's a really awesome art piece lure. As much as I want to see it catch a fish, it would be a shame to mar the intricate detail with pike tooth marks.

This wood "Pau Ferro" is translated as "Iron Wood" which is perfect, considering the theme!

I tried carving malaysian rosewood with a utility knife, it was a pain. Long live power tools! Beautiful work as always, you've got a great heritage to be proud of.
