The invincible Vince Young caps his sophomore season with one of the great bowl performances of all time. He would go on to win his final 20 games as a Longhorn, including come-from-behind wins against Ohio State and USC for the national championship.

I sure do miss listening to Keith Jackson on Saturdays in the Fall. One of the all-time greats.

Damn you almost forget how incredible he was. Have to watch these old highlight tapes to be reminded. What a monster. Best player to never win a Heisman.

Michigan brought the heat all game & he torched them for 200 yards on the ground & 4 TDs. Such an underrated performance that doesn't get the credit it truly deserves because the Wolverines defense was nasty that year & had at least four guys from that unit who had successful NFL careers. Vince Young almost single handedly won that game. Any other QB & they lose by at least two possessions.

@@cooljerk Actually Ohio State held him intact for most of the game. If Ohio State were not held to field goals, they would had won.

Keith Jackson on Young's 60 yard run at the start of the 2nd half, "Young loose! I mean REALLY loose!" Great announcing.

The Rose Bowl was Vince Young's playground. Arguably the best clutch college football player to ever play the game. HOOK EM'

If Young would have stayed his Senior year there is no doubt that Texas would have won the National Championship back to back.

Vince says he regrets not coming back his senior year.
@agents6629

@Adams Apple There’s no doubt that he look back and wish he would’ve stayed. It’s pretty well known Jeff Fisher and Norm chow the offensive coordinator at Tenn. were not happy selecting Vince. They wanted Matt Leinart since they’re both USC guys

Greatest college QB of all time imo.

Vince Young was the greatest player ever in college football who never won a Heisman trophy. This game shows his speed, agility, and toughness are unsurpassed by any performance ever by anyone. Even the announcers said as much.
@Airsoftcleaner
@Airsoftcleaner 9 лет назад
Actually he did win The Heisman by default after The Reggie Bush Scandal but he did not accept it
@sciteach4202
@sciteach4202 9 лет назад
He didn't win it. It was offered to him but he refused it because he didn't win the vote which is what gives it personal value. That's the point. He was probably the greatest QB/player in college out of all the Heisman winners I've ever known and wasn't voted as the Heisman winner. The point is the irony of the Heisman given to a myriad of lesser players, but not to the greatest player ever in college football. Irony, that's the point.
@anthonyg.4785
@anthonyg.4785 6 лет назад
With or without the Heisman no doubt he's one of the greatest ever. Top 10 NO DOUBT. Maybe even Top 5. He could change the course of a game at any moment.

Crazy to think this would end up being Vince Young's second best performance in Pasadena

Vince Young, was a great college QB his only mistake was not coming back for his senior year at Texas. I think that extra year of college Football would have helped his passing game and he would have matured as a person.

Y'all crazy.... for someone to say Tommy Frazier is a joke!! Cam, Mike, and Vince could all throw, those Nebraska QB's was basically RB's with a slight arm....Crouch, Frost, and Frazier couldn't hold Those Three Guys Jock.... Personally i don't think Vince, Cam, and Mike are better than each other... It's a 3 way tie!! Y'all might hate this guy but don't forget about Tebow!! His numbers will blow you away!!

So did Steve Breaston, Aaron G! He set a Rose Bowl record with a total of 315 receiving and kick return yards, breaking OJ Simpson's 1969 record. How many times did the Wolverines start drives around the 40 and 50?
@bballer191
@bballer191 9 лет назад
Aaron G Yep Braylon was a monster in college. I met him at a Dodgers game in LA 3 months ago. He lives out here now. I told him that I was a Texas fan and gave him a hard time about how he killed us this game d, and he said, "Well, obviously I didn't do enough cause yall got the W" lol. It was a brief conversation but he was a nice guy.

I will say this on every Longhorns Vince Young video I see: I hate how Jeff Fisher misused Vince Young at Tennessee...
@PrivateSmiles
@PrivateSmiles 2 года назад
True. With a better coach I think he would still be in the league. But Karma is real. Jeff Fisher has been basically banned from the NFL for being the worst coach ever. He tried to ruin Nick Foles, Case Keenum, and the quarterback from Cal but the Rams ran him out of town.

Got into a fist fight with my friend playing ncaa football on whatever Playstation version was out at that time. I ran the option almost every play and had like 900 yards rushing and 80 points. My friend was shaking he was so mad saying "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT REAL FOOTBALL"!

@Imastuducksfan21 National Title over 2 Heisman trophy winners. In the best college football game in history. I think that says it all. I like the ducks,and they have great team concepts. But, they would have gotten destroyed by Invincible Young led Texas teams. LOL...

Damn this upload is so bad. So just to make it to the 10m marker, you're gonna substitute for bad quality? You really should just give us a few replays of the same play. U have so much nonsense in here. Coaches talking, cheerleader dudes dancing, players walking around nonchalantly. Got half way and couldn't take all the garbage filler. I'll watch the other highlights I guess.
