Richi Rachman made a statement that he thought that Dave doesn’t like him. But if you know Dave even a little bit, you know that’s just Dave being dave. Dave said himself that he likes him and that he was disappointed that Richi thought that.

You're telling me Marty Friedman wrote all of the(incredible)leads in Rust in Peace in a month while simultaneously learning the songs??? Jesus Christ, this guy is inhuman. Absolute Guitar God.
At the beginning of the video, something surprised me. Marty Friedman said that he contributed solos. I believe him of course, but why wasn't he given credit for it? I don't remember reading "Friedman" next to any track on "Rust in Piece". Is it possible that you only take credit for the rhythm parts? If that's true, then that's just unfair. Solos might be a topping on a pizza, but it's still a very delicious one.
Sadly, If I'm not wrong, the main parts for getting credits from a song is to have made the main melody and lyrics, just that, arrangements usually don't take place which is kind of unfair definitely. I read few years ago that even Menza wasn't receiving royalties from the tracks, despite his drums lines were part of the composition, and he even couldn't do versions of the songs.
This is probably one of the reasons why Marty declined the RIP lineup reunion. They all said that the reason why the reunion failed is because of money which is I think a problem right from the start.

Too bad this isn’t all of the interview. I distinctly remember seeing this 26 years ago when it aired and they played the ending of This Was My Life...Riki was really feeling it and Mustaine was clowning him from behind, Riki never aware of it. Knew at that point Dave was a douche.
Dave did state durring a Megadeth performance that he wished Rickey would just kiil himself and put us all out of our misery .... and it got back to him ! I cant say I would be thinking someone liked me after such a statement ... but who the fuck really knows
they did end up being good friends but when on mtv they kept their "feud" and storyline going to mess with the viewers. MTV and 90s tv was going full wwf for the ratings and gossip.
Bc Ricky represented L.A. hair metal and when the scene turned heavier, and more honest, he just went with the flow/trends but stayed a poser to those who knew his roots. He sucks bottom line, he was a corporate fake, totally weak for the face of MTV's one true "metal" show. It could also be that his band sucks and he wasn't talented so he went into broadcasting this BS.
