I just picked up one at an auction for $35. A bit of rust and missing one guide roller. Machined up a new roller and this is coming out nice. I love all the cast parts on such a compact saw. I rebuilt the piston with some new o-rings. Other seals were fine. Works perfectly.
It's a decent little saw. I like the hydraulic drop but it leaks and I can't find parts to overhaul it. Pay close attention to the small helical gear. It's not metal and is designed to fail in the event the saw jams. There are no parts available to replace that either. It's had a good run thus far and I'll keep using it until it dies. It's been torn down and I'll be doing a full restoration on it before spring.
I JUST rescued one of these today at the scrap yard. It was a ball of rust but is complete and is coming out really nice. I find it odd to see it has a plastic or nylon gear in it. hmmm... :-/ I noticed the saw in the video is missing the cover on the non geared side. I paid 40bucks for mine in west texas. Hope it turns out decent, I need a small band saw like this for home use and don't want trash from HF.
I just picked one up today but the blade can not be adjusted to cut straight. When I twist the adjustable roller it does nothing. If anyone here has any info I would love to talk. I thought the inside rollers were worn down because of the lip on roller
