JC Torres is Turning, facing, drilling and threading on a South Bend Lathe-works Model9A. JC just got this lathe from a very friendly next door neighbor (Thanks Del) ! JC made & taught Juan Roberto how to make simple cabinet knobs out of 6160 aluminum. Gracias Cesar for the 6160 stock! Very fun and easy to do on this lathe! Mike Emeimem look at how much some of the tooling costs when purchased separately on lathe, like steady rests, chucks, tailstock, saddle, etc then it adds up quickly the price of a complete lathe.

Mike Emeimem we got lucky and purchased this lathe from a neighbor who is a retired machine shop guy and we ended buying almost everything in his shop including the South Bend Model 9A for one low price! 😊
