Vinyl and DVS Mixing Intro

Hi Kono. with these kinds of set ups you will need to have a version of virtual DJ that runs DVS. I believe the PMX-10 comes with a DVS friendly version of Virtual LE. From what you've said you're hardware should all work together. Realistically though this question would be better asked on the virtual dj forums where you will get software specific help. Hey Marek, I'm not sure about Mobile Apps but f you are using Serato DVS on your scratch mixer you should be able to just record internally in Serato? Otherwise try Audacity or even OBS (which is mainly for streaming) but both of which are free - you will need to check the serato preference to allow audio to be accessed by other software.

Hey - I'm not sure exactly which scratch you mean but we get our scratch samples from all over. If you search for DJ tools or DJ battle weapons or DJ scratch sounds on google you should find lots of places where you can buy them or often download them for free. Also if you hear a part of a song that has a sound you like - scratch that! Have fun :)

You can make your own. Record clips on your software and use it to scratch.

Good points well made. We said "Cheating" only because we said at the beginning that we were using "real vinyl". We were actually using DVS throughout and did so exactly to make that point. Also if i remember right we didn't do any editing lol. These videos were designed for school staff who had already taken our training course. These videos are not intended to be complete courses on their own. Peace.

@DJ School UK instead of taking the "constructive criticism" you tried to rebuttal my comments. On the editing part, you were talking and moving the jog wheel out of sync with the display on your video. Maybe you should watch it again yourself to understand where I'm coming from. I thought your info was on point but personal opinions and /or other ppls personal opinions should/ could have been left out. Just my opinion. Peace to you as well.

Lol it’s cheating. I use real records. Sync is for unskilled DJs who don’t have the talent to beat match manually.
