Question. What if you don’t have the old remote but you know it’s a 5900 series? Would this still work?

I did that exact sequence and now the lock button is also the unlock button. One button does both now That’s not what I wanted. I wanted the lock button to lock the car and the unlock button to unlock it. I’m confused. I have a 3606V alarm and a 7146V remote
