@@TheDailyWoo Adam, I met Jacob at Pikes Place market in Seattle.... If I knew you were going to be there and if you would’ve had a meet up I would’ve shown up and met you and gave you a hug also! Urban Historian 💞
The movie "Singles" was shot in Seattle. Circa 1993, my brother and drove up from the Bay Area and went to all the Singles movie locations. We are huge Pearl Jam fans and watched the movie on VHS, pausing and rewinding, trying to get street signs. We did pretty good and hit most of the spots. I think that's on of the reasons I watch you. We are the same age, have similar paths in our early lives and while we are on different paths now, for lack of a better way of saying it, you are my spirit animal. A sincere thank you for all that you do Adam.
Man I’m loving these vlogs Adam! I’m a baseball nut so obviously! 🙂 I really believe your doing some of your best work. I get a sense that your truly enjoying yourself and doing what “YOU” want to do! It shows in your work! Thanks for all you do Adam!
Hello Adam. This was awesome! Seeing you on the Space Needle platform and watching you stand on the small glass bench! And the monorail character... sooo amazing! The Coffee House at the beginning was indeed the best creation for a "piping hot beverage!" Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! Have a great weekend and extend a Happy Mother's Day to your precious Mother. ❤️
I was listening to that game last night, and thought to myself "I hope Adam's getting to see this." Pretty exciting game. And Adam, just to give you a couple tips: If you're heading back to the Big A, you can get an Ohtani bobblehead on Tuesday, plus, you can also have the pleasure of watching him shut down the Rays on Wednesday.
As a native Washingtonian hearing the name of that coffee stand I knew what it was but Adam's innocence and surprise was hilarious to me. Like a kid finding skinomax for the first time.
Alweg built the first Disneyland Monorail and I believe had their name on it for quite a while. Also, Seattle's Best was purchased by Starbucks ~20 years ago I know at the time they let the franchises stay open but that's been a while.
One of my favorite things about visiting Washington is pulling into those coffee stands. There's one shaped like a tug boat on the other side of Puget Sound.
Looks like a lot of fun. Loved the troll under the bridge - so much creativity going on there. I still have a Space Needle pen that I bought at the gift shop back in 2004.
That Monorail system sure looks like the one in Downtown Miami but the Cars are driverless being controlled from elsewhere. I like how you're mixing up some sites and places with the ball games!
I loved Harry and the hendersons. You're right '80s were great for movies music and television. It's nice to see the tour of Seattle. I am From Seattle but disabled now and it's hard for me to get around to see anything anymore so to see my City from your eyes was really nice.
Wow That's a stunning view from the space needle..almost a little nerve racking for me..haha, that Troll is Comical...what a awesome Vlog as usual Woo ✌🕶Love Harry and the Hendersons..I think there was even a TV show spin off of the movie too..🤣
Great stuff Adam. I tried to make it to the game last night but settled for watching on Apple+. Sad my Mariners blew it, but knew you were there to represent the Rays and was happy you got to see such an exciting game. I hope you can return to Seattle during the warmer months for some sunshine in the future.
We live in Auburn. Welcome Adam! Bigfoot Java is much better than others that start with star…. Your expression leaning against the glass in the Space Needle was great.
Nice. Alweg is the name of the company that built the monorails and was part of the Disneyland monorail system for a long time. The Space Needle was built for the world's fair that was held in Seattle, hence the rest. Enjoy the journeys!
I'm so happy you finally made it to my area, just wish I was able to meet you but I'm kind of a shut-in but you did pass close to my house a couple of times today... Well enjoy your trip and be safe...
HEY ATW...YOUR DOCUMENTARIES ARE STARTING TO LOOK UP!(LOL-Get it? The Space Needle? Looking up?) The Needle was as beautiful as it was frightening! The troll was so awesome. There is a troll under the Bay bridge going west from Oakland! If you blink you'll miss it. Thank you for today's documentary!
Adam - all of those barriers you saw at the Space Needle's observation deck were in response to several suicides that happened over the years.......that deck looked a LOT different when I was a very young child and the Space Needle was built for "Century 21" which was a world's fair in 1962, I believe it was.....Alweg is the same company that Walt consulted when building his first monorail at Disneyland.......that Harry and the Henderson's house is now probably worth well over 1 or 2 million dollars, given Seattle real estate prices today......and by the way, the stadium/field you were at was called Safeco Field for years........and you realize, don't you, that it partially replaced the old Kingdome that was down there for a long time.......
So excited to see you visit my stomping grounds! If you happen to head over to eastern WA there’s some rad places to check out as well (Hanford Reach area/Manhattan Project history/Kennewick Man history). Also, catch the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo aka Little Norway (adorable touristy town Sluys baker is delightful). Leavenworth (Bavarian town) also a fun visit. Enjoy your time in WA!
That Space Needle is a scary place, for sure! I bet when I was on it, my face probably looked just like yours until I got down. Great baseball game, loving all the baseball games your attending. Your love for baseball is very similar to my Son Ricky. Him & I were huge San Diego Padre fans, and we would hoot and holler like you for them. He passed in '89 at the age of 7 1/2. Anyway, I'm routing right along with you, Adam...Go Rays!!!
Adam, I love your enthusiasm for the Tampa Bay Ray's. Are planning to visit other cities where they are playing. They're playing the Detroit Tiger beginning August 5th at Comerica Park.
I'm sorry to say I have gotten behind on my video watching due to work, etc... but after seeing this vlog I will be getting yours all caught up... Excellent as always and thank you so much !!! Be well !!!
Adam, I'm a bit disappointed you didn't know ALWEG. ALWEG is the same company Walt Disney worked with to build the Monorail in Anaheim. In fact, for several years the monorail was called the Disneyland-ALWEG Monorail system.
Wow holy 😍 duce 💩 that is the best and coolest/cleanest DeLorean I've even seen. Awesome vlog thanks Adam 😊. I believe that troll was on station 19 good show 😀 it was definitely cleaned up better on the show.
Adam, So glad you're getting to follow the Rays around. Next series will be in your old stomping grounds. Sadly I am a lifelong Reds fan. They may set all time record for losses this year.
Oh man you were right next to add-a-ball. My favorite barcade. They have taxidermy mice in the walls of the bathroom stalls. If you ever come back to Fremont I strongly recommend swinging by.
Adam, Really enjoyed this adventure … The Harry and the Henderson’s house from the movie. That was Bill Dear’s film who also did Michael Nesmith’s Timerider The Adventure of Lyle Swan, Angels in the Outfield and If Looks Could Kill to mention a few. I like the movie site locations videos you do. Fun to see and document.
I remember going to see back to the future when it came out, with my mom. It was a lot of fun! One of the only times in my childhood i went to a New movie with my mom! :). Good memories.
Seattle's best owned by Starbucks. The coffee was sold at Borders book store. Rays hottest team in baseball right now. Your true fan of the team going all the way up to to the pacific northwest. Most rays fans come to the trop to root for the team up north where they came from. Good video as always Adam.
OMGS Adam... you were in my State!!!! Only an hour and a half away!!! If you said you were going to have a meet up I would’ve shown up, I met Jacob up there, the Carpet bagger that you hang out with, and was on his vlog, I also filmed him for my channel. Urban Historian 💞
I enjoy your videos of the Rays games but I love how now you include a mix of sightseeing at away games. Helps us to get insight in to the opposing team's home. Cheers
You are in my neck of the woods. Well sort of. Check out the coastline. When you go to Oregon check out Boring. There is a fantastic Big Foot museum. Have fun!! Sorry about the rain….
Adam I had a nice birthday yesterday, went to a restaurant then to Walmart to get what I needed for the birthday like white crew men socks, couple of print shirts, and a single pair of wrangler blue jeans. Then went home to eat my cake it was a chocolate cake. Did all this with my older brother and his friend Joe.
Sounds like a real eye opening Hot Caffeinated Beverage! Nice content always a plus to have friends take you to some highlights! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
8:13 i can see my old job from here lol. I actually stood on top of the parking garage during new years to get a good view of the needle going off. Whenever i was doing a security rove up there I wondered if someonein the needle was staring at me....
Hi Adam! I watch your videos daily. I thought that coffee stand looked familiar then you said you were in Auburn, no wonder I'm in Auburn and drive past that all the time! I also always think of Big the Foot when driving by that Bigfoot Java and see the logo.
Yes!! That’s where they got the name! Is from the Bigfoot in Washington!! Come to Enumclaw please!!! So much older places to see small very small town lots of old things to see!!!
Are you here in Seattle? bienvenido dude. Yeah.....2 days of rain...now. Mother F. I am a Florida man in my heart. About that Fremont Troll, is just a nasty place to go.....so dirty jajaja
So glad to finally have you in my neck of the woods Adam! If I was free this week I'd have loved to have shown you around. We have some great local sites, like the house that inspired the house from 'Up', and the graves of Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee, and the house Kurt Cobain died in.
When I went through truck driving school (central refrigerated) the very first load they gave me was Seattles best coffee I picked it up in Modesto ca. and delivered it to Puyallup wa. If that tells you where Seattles best comes from
