This video explores visual comfort assessments of glare and the Guth VCP using a combination of ESP-r and Radiance. I discusses the nature of visual comfort assessments, the resolution of the geometric context required. We then step through the work flow of setting up models, undertaking assessments, creating variant scenes and adding new scenes as required.
In preparation for the video a score of software iterations were undertaken to streamline the work flow to support higher resolution models and projects needing multiple visual assessments.
For those who think they know the e2r module of ESP-r you should find a lot that is new. The video demonstrates the creation of variant scenes, jumping between visual assessment tasks and new outputs for displaying glare and Guth VCP assessments.
