Enjoyed this a lot. Small note on the mantras: They don't only hit in the cone but also in a small circle around you. Unfortunately AFAIK the cone takes priority so if you aren't careful you might hit people in the other group instead of your own which will mess up quickness uptime. Good thing you remembered Sanctuary. Really useful on some bosses.
Thank you for your guide! Guardian's utilities are amazing. The flexible slot could also be Wall of Reflection for projectile reflect, Hallowed Ground for pulsing stability, Bane Signet for a target CC, or Signet of Mercy for a single-player revive. Staff 5 can now also be used for CC if I remember correctly. Placing it inside the boss will deal a knockback. I only play WvW and sometimes Fractals, so my interpretation of Firebrand might not work well in Raids. So, it was nice to learn from your video!
While its okay for introduction, so many things are missing or wrong. Tome 1 is not just dps. You use skill 4 followed by staff 2 to blast a fire field to give more might. Tome 3 is not just stab, skill 4 is used for resistance. Cc is very high on firebrand too, sanctuary is 1020cc iirc, and you forgot tome 1 skill 3 which is a pull and tome 3 skill 2 which is a taunt.
Thanks. Just completed all the CMS for the first time yesterday. I play heal alac tempest and realized how weak it is in CMS. Gearing up a healbrand now, the guide says to use a mix of harriers and givers armour though
great video, thanks a bunch, im wondering though, are there many notable changes that have occured since the release of SotO, the fact they can now wear different elite specs weapons and any notable chances to skills which possibly makes you choose other skills over the ones in the video? id love to see an update
Nice video, short and simple. Makes me actually want to give guardian a shot! I just have one question. How are your mantra icons remaining in uncharged form even when you have charges?
Thank you! :D The mantras have been changed in a recent update. You also have an uncharged state now. But the way to play hasnt changed. Just make sure to not use the final charge if you can help it.
I suggest to stick to mace mostly for regeration and protection, trading fury and cc from axe because most alacrity dps give some might and fury as well I was not confident about healing in raids, but it s a lot of fun
