Vive: Fix missing Frames (Juttering, or Stuttering feeling. The Lab, & other games.) 

this seems to only work when 1 monitor is plugged in. Is there a way to make this work when with two plugged in, including my hmd, that you know of?

its not caused by lighthouse vibration in most cases.. its caused by the firmware update from May 26th that I dont think they ever released a new update from.

then don't go out of your playspace?

vrchat is very unoptimized and the framerate is pretty bad no matter what you do, vrchat is still fun and a good game it's just the framerate on it isn't great because it wasn't made to be buttery smooth

If its a set direction you are facing that blacks out then it is possibleit is one of your base stations. eg you are facing away from the one that is working correctly and the other isnt tracking so your body (head) is blocking the tracking of the only working BS. Make sure they both are showing green lights up top, and check that one station is set to B and the other to C (button on the back of the station changes this). Could just need updating. Until you get it sorted, you can set the working one to A and only use the one station but that kinda sux cause you cant turn around much. So better to contact Vive directly, they were super helpful to me. Mind you one person replied saying cant fix it and another gave me perfect instructions on how to attempt to fix my issue. Sadly my fix was temporary so I got mine replaced. I hope you have better luck.

Thanks man. You're a life saver. Been looking EVERYWHERE and no one is mentioning this. Afterburner was ruining my VR experience.

hey, i have only the Dragon Center. and wanted to play an Oculus game like Robo Recall. but my issue is like yours. couldnt it be the ASW settings from SteamVR ?? i have only dragon center. maybe if i close it it would work?

of course you do this is an issue for VR and VR only

He used Nvidia control panel, implying that this problem only affects Nvidia cards.

+DELTA Or that this solution only helps those with Nvidia cards. I've personally used a few AMD cards (can't remember which - didn't have them long) that had constant frame skips.

Remember Ravric is just a hypocrite about copying others work check out his kerbal space center map so Ravric lost all credibility to me

+Fuis Cklam If your frame timing graph looks *exactly* like his did in this video, then there may still be hope. The underlying issue when it looks like that is that the hardware (or maybe the software?) is using the window on your monitor for its vsync instead of the headset. I'm not familiar with AMD's driver software, but I assume there may be a place somewhere to explicitly disable all vsync like there is with nVidia, so try that out. I don't know for sure if it will work (it seems to be hit or miss on nVidia, while the weird restore "fix" is 100%), but I'd like to hear if it does.
