Yes indeed! May I ask what type of camera 📷 you use to film your videos? One of the things I love about them Is you can really see your skin when it's bare, no fluff and filters. TIA

I think this was the sign I needed. I’m also a freelance makeup artist and Im looking into applying for the cosmetology program that my local college offers, tuition free. Unfortunately I have my son so I won’t be able to really start till he starts school but I’m here for your ride and I’m so happy that you’re taking this step to further your career. I don’t ever watch anyone’s vlogs but I love yours! I watched all your videos during last bridal season as I was hired with a traveling hair and makeup company. I found your kit videos and vlogs to be very informative. I also really love your work! So pretty.

Aww that's amazing! Yes, go for it! It's been such a blessing in disguise and I do not regret it at all. Plus, learning about the skin will really improve your skills as a makeup artist :) I feel like my applications have turned out so much better after expanding my knowledge. You'll love it!

Girllll I feel like we're in the same boat! Starting esthetician school in May because I need the license in NY but like you said, honestly I feel like it's going to be a blessing in disguise. I'm actually really excited to learn a new area and hopefully add to my bridal services! Also - I feel you on the 2025 bookings. I have a couple but am also still trying to book more in 2024. The comparison game is a struggle!

Omg you’re going to love schooling!! It’s so much fun to learn new things :) We’ll both get the bookings soon I have a feeling! Since filming, I have had more inquiries come in so I think it may still be too early for some.

Thank you so much! Yes most beauty schools around me use a fingerprint scanner so others can’t clock in for you. Aww thanks so much I’m glad you liked the vlog :)

Hi Julie I’m I. The UK want to be an MUA as a side hustle aside from my main income job. How and where would I start? I cannot afford the university tuition fee for makeup school and have seen many girls in the UK on instagram able to start their business without uni certification. Any tips/ advice? How did you start?

Hi! However you choose to get your foot in the door is completely up to you and what works with your lifestyle. I can only tell you from my own experience, but I did work for a cosmetic company to get started. This allowed me to build a kit for nearly nothing and then I started advertising on social media. It's one of those careers where you just have to go for it! :) I made an video a REALLY long time ago on my channel on how i got started.
