I think we all tend to forget that Advent is meant to be a time of slowness and relaxation. It is a time of preparation for actual Christmas, but we make it into a frantic, unrestful time. So you sit and read, and take your time doing what you want to do. The sock heel looks much nicer in the main yarn, rather than the brighter pink.

Kate it is so good to see you! The weekender is one of my favorite patterns. That is a beautiful color. I’ll be in the UK this summer, I’ll have to look for some Donegal.

I love your weekender Kate. I too love Studio Donegal as it’s warm but so light to wear. I saw the new one at Folklore when I was doing crochet classes I’ll be interested to try it out. I also understand the multiple grocery runs I’m having an in the house day today which will be just lovely

So good to follow your “knitty countdown “to Christmas again this year ! Thank you for sharing the things you like ; book and yarn.. Do you knit while reading 📖….or read while knitting? A few knitters do , I’ve never tried 😊 I guess it’s doable with an easy knit ! I love both of these activities but I don’t get enough time to do both ! Hi Kate. The Donegal colour is fab! It's one i'd buy too. When you buy from Eire do you have to pay international shipping, even though you are in the same country?

I think it would be a little more expensive as it’s shipping to the UK. I’m fortunate though because my LYS stocks Donegal Studio and I’m also in Donegal fairly often so always pop into Studio Donegal itself.
