Yes, the video starts in a 4:3 ratio, but when it first expands out, you can also see that the left edge is kind of messed up like actual film that's not lined up like it should be, and the video resolution is also lower, and of course the static and glitches like an old VHS. Then that crescendo on that first "ah" after J's first line, there's another glitch and the video fixes itself and also goes full resolution. Of course the static and glitches remain for effect, but these guys' attention to detail in EVERY aspect of EVERY project they produce is just astounding. Then the video returns to VHS quality right at the end. Ugh. VP is just too amazing. Then add on top of that the mind blowing vocals to go with Layne's brilliant arrangement....it all just perfectly sums up why I love VoicePlay so much. 🥰 I also loved how much you enjoyed this one. You don't usually pause that much and I haven't seen you rewatch a video immediately afterward in a while, so I know you liked it. One other thing, as VoicePlay is known to respect the original they're covering while putting their own spin on a song. For this one in particular, I like how Layne left the iconic drum solo as is, basically a replica just with beatboxing, as it is really just that iconic, and where he chose to put his own spin was in the rest of the music. I thought that was a wise choice.

It is so neat to be able to see both Voiceplay and Home Free grow leaps and bounds. They never disappoint and you know they spent countless hours to get it just right. THANK YOU GUYS!!!

Hope Phil sees this! His song so iconic but I bet intimidating for anybody but BIG TIME fir acapella group! NOBODY Wants to get this wrong and Voiceplay did this so much Justice!

We knew Layne was going to nail that drum solo. I'm such a HUGE Phil fan and remember when this came out. I have to say VoicePlay just outdid him. So nostalgic and perfectly done. Fun fact: that car belongs to Layne's dad and was probably parked in the garage they started out practicing in as 4:2:Five. I love the fact that everyone is really starting to push their creative boundaries and vocal ranges. Can't wait to see what's next and since this was filmed in May we know more are coming. As for new adjectives I've just started saying I've been (Voice)Played or Geoffed. LOL

You've got it right: the video is shot to be an old VHS tape, with the video drop-off troubles and sound distortions. Fun Facts: That's a 1972 Pontiac LeMans, belonging to Layne's dad. thry did such an amazing job with this one (not that that doesn't happen with every song! This one though highlights every one of their talents equally! I also never thought i would jam to this song, you can't help but to dance once the beat changes! I love seeing your reactions the awe and amazement is always written all over your face and it brings me joy to see someone else geek out so much over music!

I have to admit - first time I heard it, I cringed at some of the liberties taken with this one, simply because it's such an iconic track. But it's growing on me. I doubt it will ever be one of my favourites but it's not a "Turn it off!" track at all.
